Reeves was asked if he had stolen anything from any of his movie sets and the actor gave some exciting answers.
You can always expect Keanu Reeves to surprise you. During a recent Reddit Ask-Me-Anything (AMA), Reeves was asked by Reddit user u/WarLordShoto if he had stolen anything from any of his movie sets. Reeves replied, “Not stolen… the watch and wedding ring from John Wick, a sword from 47 Ronin, and the first red pill that the Wachowskis ever gave me." Yes, Reeves took the red pill from "The Matrix."
Currently, the actor is promoting his latest “John Wick” film, the fourth in the franchise. Both “The Matrix” franchise and the “John Wick” one have overlaps when it comes to their physicality. In connection with this, one Reddit user, u/JohnWoosDoveGuy asked, "Hey Keanu. Do you prefer the kung fu training you did for the Matrix or the jiu-jitsu you do for John Wick?" Reeves seemed to hold the experience of training in kung fu close to his heart. “Nothing can ever compare to the kung fu training from the Matrix because it was so unique and my first time…but the jiu-jitsu in John Wick being integrated with judo and gunfights can never be touched in its own way,” Reeves responded.
Reeves was also asked by Reddit user u/LeroyWankins, "If you weren't acting, what other career would you choose?" to which the actor gave a very interesting answer. "Well, when I was a kid I always said I wanted to be a race car driver, a conductor, or an astrophysicist,” said the actor. “Today, let’s conduct some music.”
When Reddit user u/Deku142 asked him, "What is your favorite film that you’ve worked on?" Reeves replied, “I’ve been very fortunate to work on a few films that have changed my life. I can’t pick just one. But here are a few- ‘River’s Edge,’ ‘Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure,’ ‘Matrix’ trilogy, ‘The Devil’s Advocate,’ ‘A Scanner Darkly,’ ‘My Own Private Idaho,’ ‘Point Break,’ ‘John Wick’."
Recently, Reeves was also in the news when Reddit user u/bradg0620 went ahead and asked him: "What's a fun fact that most people probably don't know about you? Reeves responded that in his early days in Los Angeles when he was 20 years old, he met a few people at a gas station who had hockey equipment in their car. He added that he asked them what they were doing and, they said they were "playing street hockey."
Reeves asked them if he could play and they agreed. "I became involved in a street hockey game that took place every weekend for over 10 years, every weekend, red versus black." he wrote. "We would take holidays off and sometimes summers, but the game was going on for over 10 years. That was cool to be a part of. It was a cool thing to have happened. Made some friends."
Another Reddit user, u/slayvelabor, opted for a more contemplative question. They asked if the actor ever takes out the time to look up at the stars. Reeves replied, "I believe the other night we had an eclipse of the moon! Which was cool. In the cities, I wish you could see more of the stars, but I always love when I'm in places where you can see that blanket, that twirling, twinkling. That is one of my favorite things."
