Kate Winslet is probably one of the nicest actors in Hollywood. A video now going viral on Twitter confirms this as it shows Winslet reassuring a young, first-time interviewer named Martha during the promotion of her new film, "Avatar: The Way of Water." According to Harper's Bazaar, Martha—a child journalist from the German public service broadcaster ZDF—was noticeably nervous about interviewing the Oscar winner. "Um, it's my first time," she timidly told Winslet during the international press junket.

Upon hearing this, the actor was kind enough to pause the interview for a few minutes and boost Martha's confidence with a heartwarming pep talk. In the moving clip of their interaction, Winslet leans toward the young girl with a warm smile and says: "This is your first time doing it? OK, well guess what? When we do this interview, it's going to be the most amazing interview ever. And do you know why? Because we've decided that it's going to be."

The youngster quietly laughs as the star continues: "So, we've decided right now, me and you, that this is going to be a really fantastic interview. You can ask me anything that you want, and you don't have to be scared. Everything is going to be amazing. OK? You've got this. OK, let's do it!" Thanks to Winslet's pep talk, Martha was able to conduct the interview without any hitches. She also got a selfie with the "Titanic" star after the interview.

The interview was first shared on Twitter by a senior entertainment reporter named Olivia Marks. She captioned it: "Kate Winslet reassuring this young girl that her interview will be amazing is the most precious thing I've ever seen." Many on Twitter were in awe of the actor because of the way she responded to the nervous reporter. One wrote, "Damn. It's hard not to love Kate Winslet. Phenomenal artist and an even better human." Another said, "This is so lovely. Kate Winslet is a legend!" A third one commented: "If Kate Winslet gave me a pep talk like this I think I literally would go climb Everest the next day."

That's not where Kate Winslet's kindness ends. Last year, she donated £17,000 (around $20,000) in November 2022 to a UK mother of four named Carolyn Hunter who was struggling with increasing energy costs as she has a daughter with complex medical needs. Freya, her 12-year-old daughter, has a severe form of cerebral palsy and requires very complex equipment which leaves Hunter unable to cut down on energy consumption.

"Freya has constant routine medical interventions requiring equipment operated by electricity during the hours between 3-7 not to mention the necessity of heat and light," Hunter wrote on a GoFundMe page which she set up to pay for their needs. Winslet not only donated the money but also personally called the mother and reassured her and wished her well. "When I heard about the money I just burst into tears—I thought it wasn't even real. I'm still thinking, is this real?" Hunter, 49, told BBC.

Hunter added: "The level of care Freya is having is probably on par with what would be happening in an intensive care ward," She added that her daughter relies on oxygen due to breathing problems. "She needs constant heat and the staff needs to be comfortable in the room," she said.
