The Canadian Prime Minister requested Swift to make space for his country too among her tour stops because it currently doesn't include Canada.
It looks like Justin Trudeau is a Swiftie! Pop icon Taylor Swift recently announced the dates and locations for the 2024 Asia and Europe legs of her Eras Tour. The Canadian Prime Minister is now requesting the pop star to make space for his country too in her international show stops because her upcoming tour doesn't include Canada.
Sharing her tour dates, Swift announced, "Really can’t contain my excitement because... we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour. And I get to travel the world doing shows with @paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer? I’m screaming?"
The politician made a hilarious request to the singer, using lyrics from her previous songs, to perform in Canada. “It’s me, hi,” Trudeau tweeted in response to Swift's announcement. “I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon.”
For those unaware, the tweet contains references to lyrics in Swift's songs "Anti-Hero," "I Know Places" and "Cruel Summer." According to HuffPost, the singer's last performance in Canada was in 2018, when she visited Toronto’s Rogers Centre on her Reputation Tour.
It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon.

The Eras Tour will continue in 2024 in Europe, Asia and Australia. According to PEOPLE, the tour will cover major cities like Melbourne, Australia; Sydney, Australia; Singapore; Paris; Stockholm, Sweden; Lisbon, Portugal; Madrid, Spain; Lyon, France; Edinburgh, Scotland; Liverpool, United Kingdom; Cardiff, U.K.; London; Dublin; Amsterdam; Zürich; Milan; Gelsenkirchen, Germany; Hamburg, Germany; Munich; Warsaw and Vienna. She'll conclude the tour with two final shows in London in August 2024.
Fortune predicted that the Eras tour is supercharging local economies and could potentially generate $4.6 billion for them throughout the U.S. based on how much ticket holders are spending to attend each show. “Taylor Swift’s sold-out concerts, layered on top of one of our largest annual conventions, combined to become the most successful weekend for Chicago hotels in recent history,” Michael Jacobson, president of the Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association, was quoted as saying. He added that these numbers come as “indisputable evidence of the importance of major events and conventions to the city’s economy.”

On the personal front, Taylor Swift is currently single, according to sources. The "Wildest Dreams" hitmaker was last romantically linked with Matt Healy, the frontman of the pop rock band, The 1975. "They are absolutely not together and aren't even in contact anymore. She is enjoying being single and has been spending time in the studio and hanging out with friends in New York City. This is all B.S.," a source close to Swift told PEOPLE earlier this month.
"It's complete nonsense," an insider close to the British band added to reports of Swift and Healy's rumored relationship. "Not true at all." Swift, 33, and Healy, 34, were first rumored to be dating in early May. By June, sources said they parted ways. "They were never boyfriend-girlfriend or exclusive and were always just having fun," said one insider at the time.
