Worker accidentally uploads photo meant for her boyfriend to the company website: 'Apologies to my boss'

In funny and sometimes not-so-funny instances, people accidentally send the wrong text, meme, or image to the wrong person. It could've been meant for your friend but might go to your boss, or it was meant for your partner but went to your parents. While these might cause a great level of anxiety, the queen of accidental texts has to be the TikTok user @shopgirlscrew. She uploaded a video on TikTok that garnered more than 754,000 views since it was posted on May 30. This jewelry store employee realized she had mistakenly uploaded a photo intended for her boyfriend to the Girls Crew jewelry website. 

"Not me accidentally uploading a silly photo I meant to send to my BOYFRIEND to the COMPANY WEBSITE," the text overlay read. "Apologies in advance to my boss when she sees this," the caption read. "This is only my second time doing this…. so I feel like I won't get in trouble??" While she was apologetic for her actions, this wasn't the first time this occurred. She then displayed the error that had been posted on the product page for "Enchanted Wings Ear Cuff + Stud." At first glance, everything appeared normal: the first two images showed a person wearing the earring. By the third image, however, it was clear that something was wrong. It showed the worker making a silly face with her tongue out, as well as a close-up of her eye.

Some people found this to be hilarious, others suggested that things could have been worse and a few others suspected it to simply be a marketing stunt to attract traffic. "Immediately would buy the product," wrote @madysin. "Better this than a different kind of photo," commented @user3454456548741279954. "This has to be done for marketing," added @rat. Even if it's a marketing stunt, it seems to have worked. "What company because my daughter loves the earring!!! It's a cute photo too!!!" praised @terri. 

When it comes to successful accidental texts, Jamal Hinton and Wanda Dench became friends after Dench accidentally texted Hinton's number in 2016, inviting him over for Thanksgiving dinner. Dench, despite intending to send it to her grandson, welcomed her new friend home for dinner. In 2016, Dench unintentionally texted Hinton, informing him that Thanksgiving dinner would be served at her home on November 24 at 3 p.m. Dench replied, "Your grandma," with an elderly woman emoji when the then-17-year-old boy asked who had sent him the message. Hinton responded by requesting a photo to confirm that the phone number belonged to his grandmother. When it became clear that it was a case of mistaken identity, he posted a photo of himself and a text stating that she was not his grandmother. However, he inquired, "Can I still get a plate, tho?" to which Dench replied, "Of course, you can. That's what grandmas do... feed everyone." People have been following the duo as they have continued this adorable Thanksgiving tradition for the past six years.
