'So here we are, connecting kids to the farm, and it gets to be my family's farm that’s been with us since 1936,' she said.
For daughters, their true treasure isn't gold or diamonds but their mothers' souvenirs, and who better than Jennifer Garner, the actor, to attest to it? Jennifer, 53, has been taking care of the farm, where her mom, Patricia English Garner, grew up as a kid. Yes, that's right! The land, once owned by her grandparents, is now the source of fresh ingredients for her organic baby food company, "Once Upon a Farm."

Interestingly, Jennifer's father, a World War I veteran, had purchased the land with the bonus ($700) he had received from fighting the war in 1936. The actress, through her farm, located in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, now wants to revive the place that her mother loved. "My parents didn’t even have a car, so when they heard about the land that was for sale, they hired someone to drive them to the property. The farm consisted of a two-room house and 20 acres, minus 1 acre at the heart of the property, which was a Native American cemetery," Patricia, her mom, told Southern Living. When the farm was purchased, there was no electricity, running water, or indoor plumbing, but it was still very special to Patricia and her parents. The farm changed ownership several times over the years, and for four years, it had no one to look after it. However, in 2017, Jennifer stepped up to get back her family's precious farm.
But how did the actress become a part of "Once Upon a Farm?"

It was Cassandra Curtis, along with Ari Raz, who, in 2015, founded the company, only because she was in search of more nutritious baby food options for her daughter. Eventually, she joined forces with Jennifer, the actor, philanthropist, and also a mom, to create the "next generation" childhood nutrition company. "Once I started working for Once Upon a Farm, I loved the idea of connecting kids to the farm early on. And so here we are, connecting kids to the farm, and it gets to be my family's farm that’s been with us since 1936. One thing that I love about the farm is that my Uncle Robert still lives here. He is the holder of the stories and runs the farm to this day," the "Alias" actor said.
The company, "Once Upon a Farm," was officially registered and recognized as a legal business in 2018, and ever since has been mothers' most trusted friend when it comes to choosing for their kids. "Now we're sold in over 16,000 stores nationwide with products for babies, toddlers, and big kids!" their website reads. Notably, the company is also partnered with "Save the Children," a non-profit organization that helps kids in America and around the globe. "Through our partnership with Save the Children, we are committed to delivering 1,000,000 nutritious meals to kids in food-insecure communities by 2025. Our efforts support Save the Children’s early education and nutrition programs that help kids reach their full potential for a happier, healthier tomorrow," Jennifer's company has claimed.
