Ogundiran had no plans of confessing his love until a content creator forced him to do so on camera.

A Japanese man from Tokyo never planned on proposing to his crush until a content creator offered 10,000 yen (roughly $63) for their first date.
Jesse Ogundiran (@jesseogn), known for his viral public interactions, met a young boy who had never been in a relationship. Interestingly, he had a big crush on a girl who had also always been single. Both, though attracted to each other, hadn't confessed their feelings until Ogundiran forced them to do so on camera.
The content creator shared the video on Instagram, where it has been viewed over 14 million times already.
"If you can call your crush and confess your feelings, I will give you 10,000 yen ($63) for your date," Ogundiran announced. The man looked overwhelmed and had a tough time deciding if he really wanted to do it on camera.
The girl he liked was in Hokkaido and was supposed to be moving to Tokyo for college, he explained. After a lot of thought, the man finally mustered the courage and called his crush. It was a bit difficult for him, especially because he had never dated before. Therefore, it was natural that he'd be scared to confess his feelings.
When asked what he adores about his crush, the man replied, "She's kind. She's been in an all-girls' school for 6 years. She's never had a boyfriend before."

The crush immediately picked up his call and sounded ecstatic to be talking to him. After a quick greeting, the man confessed he loved her company and would like to spend more time with her. "So, would you be my girlfriend?" he asked, and his crush just couldn't control her excitement.
After a few seconds, she also confessed her feelings and said she would love to have him as her boyfriend. "I will take good care of you," the man said, assuring his now girlfriend. The call ended, and both boys — his friend and Ogundiran — congratulated him. As promised, the content creator also gave him the money for his date.

Having a crush on someone is quite natural, but many lack the confidence to act on it. While some fear rejection, others are scared to ruin their friendships. In fact, sometimes, the situation becomes even more complex when a person develops a crush on someone they absolutely shouldn't have.
A survey of 2,000 Americans (by OnePoll on behalf of EdenFantasys) found that one in four had a crush on somebody completely "off-limits," and additionally, seven in ten of those have either acted on those feelings or are planning to do so in the future. However, for the man in Ogundiran's video, everything seemed smooth, and he was finally able to win over his crush.

Meanwhile, reacting to the Instagram reel, @biriyani.nd.coke.after.sambhog confessed, "This feels like a 12-episode romance anime with no season 2." @aldywiryawan pointed out, "The way he moved the phone from left hand to right hand on and on while he talked to her showed how nervous he was. Congratulations, may she never break your heart, bro."
Similarly, @la.meredrine wrote, "That was the cutest interaction. I like how he talked about her kindness, how he told her he enjoys the time with her, and how he wants to get to know her rather than talking about her appearance or jumping straight to the question. That's very sweet."
