Getting a rejection letter might be quite disappointing, but when that means you have dodged a bad work culture, it surely is a blessing. Fortunately, some job seekers get to learn how toxic their workplace will be right at the interview. One such candidate who was lucky enough to get a preview during the interview boldly stood up for themselves. However, their honest opinions did not sit well with the employers, who sent them a job rejection mail that went viral online. It was posted on X by the Internet Hall Of Fame (@InternetHOF) and over 8 million views came in.

The rejection letter starts with the disappointing news that the candidate was not offered the role. "After weeks of consideration, we have decided to go with another candidate who is better suited to our needs at this time," the employer wrote. But they didn't stop there. The letter deliberated how the candidate pointed out the interviewer's flaws and the company's attempt to lowball their offer. "It was noted during your interviews that you told both our recruiter and the hiring manager that 'they wasted your time because they were late' and 'you took time off from work just to hear a lowball offer and that we should have posted the salary range in the job description,'" the email reads.

In fact, the recruiters were offended that the candidate prioritized money while applying for the job. "We told you that we do this so people won't apply just for the money. After which, you replied, 'What money?' Thank you for your time and consideration," the email concluded. It looks like the candidate was rejected simply because they were being reasonable about their worth and expected the interview to happen on time. This rejection letter caused a stir on the internet, with people enraged about how inconsiderate the recruiters were. Many urged that recruiters must come to terms with the fact that job seekers indeed prioritize salary range over anything else.

"You can reject me 1000 times, but I will not stop dropping the truth bombs. There is nothing wrong with valuing yourself and showing others that you value yourself and your time. If anybody gets offended by this, they need to go back to school and learn a lot of things again," said @POETICandFUNNY. "If you're not a charity or non-profit, then you have no business looking for employees who aren't in it for the money. That's a big red flag that you're exploitive and pretending you are not under a bunch of double-speak about high-minded principles," remarked @GnarlyRedDwarf. "People get jobs for money. Employers need to stop being delusional," added @PhatPatBars

While speaking of hilarious rejection letters, another job seeker shared a confusing rejection letter after a bizarre job interview. u/The_Sign_of_Zeta posted the company's rejection letter on Reddit, saying that their interview had weird questions like, "What would you do if you were shrunk and put in a blender that would start in a minute?" Though they did a "wonderful job" in the interview, the candidate was rejected because the two individuals who interviewed them couldn't agree on whom to choose. "Because of that, they aren't taking anyone and will start from scratch," the letter added. People were quite amused by this rejection and many pointed out that the candidate "dodged a bullet" with this one.
