Lula discovered that her husband had been living a double life throughout their entire relationship

Sometimes, the truth starts with nothing more than a feeling in your gut — a sudden instinct that something is wrong, even when everything seems quite on the surface. In 2019, a woman named Lula (@lulaindee) decided to trust this exact intuition while she was eight months pregnant and checked her husband Matt's phone. Although she didn't expect to find much, what she discovered turned her life upside down as she navigated through the web of lies her husband had built. She posted a video about the incident on TikTok on June 25, 2026, saying, "This is the story I never thought I would tell," which has since garnered over 648,000 views.

One morning, while her husband was in the bathroom, Lula opened his recent apps, expecting nothing, but noticed a Priceline email confirmation for a hotel room booked for that very night. "So I'm thinking, that's a strange day to have a hotel you never told me about," she said to herself. Recognizing the red flag, she quickly took a screenshot of the information and deleted it from his phone after Airdrop-ing it to herself.

What Lula didn't realize at the time was that this was just the tip of the iceberg. That was until, while at work, she decided to dig deeper into this mess. She logged into the T-Mobile account they shared and discovered a massive history of texts and calls to unfamiliar numbers. She became curious about whom her husband had been talking to all this time. So, she dialed one of the numbers to find out for herself, only to realize that her husband had been actively contacting the local esc*rting services.

Lula did the math in her head and knew that her husband would make an excuse for the parenting class they were supposed to attend. Sure enough, he did exactly that midway through the session. Nonetheless, Lula attended the entire class and then headed to the hotel address. She didn't know if her plan was going to work, but decided to act on it anyway. She went to the front desk and showed them the confirmation email and told them, "My husband booked a room, and he forgot to give me the key."
Despite securing the keys, Lula remained scared of facing the reality as her hands shivered at the door. So, she took a step back, cracked open the door just a little bit, and hid in the nearby stairwell. After a short while, she watched a woman exit the room, followed by her husband. She then let him enter the car, which was hers by the way, as they exchanged them for the day, and knocked on his window. "What are you doing here?" Her husband asked her. That was it. She later ended the marriage after discovering that her husband had been living a double life throughout their entire relationship.

There are plenty of Americans who have suffered from situations like Lula's. According to a YourGov survey, despite 74% of Americans not being okay with their partner engaging in sexual activities with someone else, about one quarter of them still do it anyway. Men are more likely to do this, with about 29% of them confirming they have been with someone else without their partner's consent, as compared to women with 21% doing so.

Even though Lula was scared of sharing her story at first, people believe that Lula is helping others by doing so. @bailzherb wrote, "You're helping so many women by sharing your story and refusing to wear the shame that belongs to the person who betrayed you." Meanwhile, @byjessalyn_ revealed, "Going through the same thing. I’m 7 months pregnant, and my husband started cheating three days after our gender reveal and continues to do it."
