Man who never wanted to be a father reacts to wife's pregnancy — instantly wins 'Best Dad' award

Bogutskie, perhaps, wanted to capture her husband's raw emotions, and hence, she decided to surprise him first with a present, and then with her pregnancy news. In the video, the woman handed her husband two carton boxes — one with a branded pair of shoes, and the other with pregnancy test results, baby shoes, and a handwritten note. The man, visibly happy with his new shoes, likely never imagined, not even in his wildest dreams, that this seemingly ordinary moment would forever alter his life, setting him on a tough but meaningful journey. "Shut the f*** up! Are you pregnant?"

Bogutskie's husband asked the minute he saw the pregnancy test kit placed inside the second box, and immediately pulled his wife into a warm hug. In that moment, the man possibly forgot that he was the same guy who never wanted to be a father. "I have been freaking out all day," Bogutskie said, to which, her partner kissed her, whispering, "You are going to be a good mom!" Incidents like this reveal how people's perspectives about life change in an instant.

Not everyone has this kind of awakening, as for countless young couples across the world, parenthood is not a part of their dream life together. With a significant rise in couples opting for a childfree lifestyle, we're sure there is more the one reason driving that decision. Notably, a survey by Pew Research Center claims that around 45% of younger couples say they’ve benefited more by not having kids, as it allows them to network outside of work hours. Further, the report also claims that around 36% of young people, whether they want to have kids or not, simply can't afford to raise one. At a time when multiple income streams often fail to sustain a family, lucky are those who can afford to add another member to their troop.
