The wife found a smart yet funny hack to take care of two chores at once and the husband was completely dumbfounded by her wit.
It's funny how the heights of laziness can make people do creative things. By masking it in the name of hacks, they find simple ways that won't require much physical effort. Sometimes more effort is put into minimizing the work than what is actually required to do the work. Andrea and Lewis—who go by @andreaandlewis on Instagram—posted a viral video where the wife used one such creative hack to avoid being in the kitchen. The husband couldn't believe his eyes when he saw her innovative idea and called her lazy, but thousands of people contradicted him in a light-hearted way.
As Lewis was about to reveal what his wife had set up in the kitchen, the text overlay read, "My wife has unlocked a new level of lazy." He entered the kitchen and was surprised to find the phone videoing the mac and cheese that was cooking on the stove. Andrea had made a full-fledged setup with a tripod and a ring lamp pointed at the pan. Realizing that his wife was actually on FaceTime with the pan on the stove, Lewis asked, "You have to be joking. What are you doing?" The husband then walks out of the kitchen, looking for Andrea.
Andrea was sitting on the bed wearing a beauty mask, crocheting and watching her mac and cheese getting ready on an iPad. When the puzzled husband pointed to the iPad and asked, "Are you FaceTiming your mac and cheese? Is this a joke?" the wife replied, "No!" Looking at the iPad, the wife said that the mac and cheese looked like it was done and casually asked the husband, "Can you go get that for me?" While the husband still stood there in disbelief expecting an explanation, Andrea said, "It's called multi-tasking," and added, "I don't want to be standing around. I want to be in my bed."
With no care in the world, she just proceeded with crocheting again. Lewis held her face and said, "You're actually a special breed." Though the husband called his wife lazy, the sole intention of this video seemed to show how funny and witty her cooking hack was. The video garnered over 22 million views and thousands of people found it hilarious and brilliant. Many women in the comment section pointed out how she was being the opposite of lazy.
"Stop calling your wife lazy. This is a new level of genius that we (mainly females) aspire to be," commented @x.srayvision.x. "Cooking, skin care, crocheting and relaxing in bed? That's not lazy, that's genius," wrote @transcendence.of.tysa. "Actually the first internet camera ever was set up at MIT to watch its coffee machine finished brewing. So, that's the OG use case," pointed out @bulkazchlebem. "You could’ve said 'She unlocked a new type of multitasking,'" wrote @r9gina.
Speaking of criticizing laziness, this mom on TikTok went viral for her relatable take on being lazy. Amanda Rose—who goes by @_amandauhh_ on TikTok—calls herself a "lazy mom" and ardently tries to normalize having messy homes with giant piles of laundry and dirty floors. In her video, she reveals the reality of juggling multiple chores saying, "Here's another morning of my lazy mom life." It's not that she wanted the house to be messy, but when the dirty dishes and leftover food were seen left out for the night she validated that if she felt tired at the end of the day, she would "just close her f**king eyes and go to sleep." The mom-of-two can be seen cleaning the house the next morning and she called it her "normal."
