Love can strike from anywhere, and this YouTuber named David is living proof of that. It all began in 2018 when the man behind the YouTube channel "Never Give Up" bared his heart and soul in a raw video titled: "Being Ugly: My Experience." Little did he know that Cupid was at his door, waiting to knock, and he would be happily married years later.

For context, in the video, he seemingly asked for help and explained: "I am feeling really down, extremely down. And I'll tell you why: it’s because my entire life I have been treated quite badly. My English is not that good. I feel really alone. I feel like I was going to search YouTube for people with the same issue as me, and that is feeling really unattractive. And I have been having lots of issues with that."

Additionally, he pointed out that every video he saw on YouTube was either by an attractive person or someone considered "normal". He also highlighted that these people have no idea what it feels like to be on the other side of the attractiveness spectrum. He then began showing his physical features that he didn't like and conveyed that he tried his best to hide them. For instance, he smiled and drew attention to his teeth, nose, skin, forehead, posture, eyebrows, lips, and other parts he found unattractive. "I am letting my hair grow so it covers [the imperfections], and I also use a hat. I do not look good. In my entire life, no one has told me I look good. I have received plenty of criticism," he said.

The heartbreaking video went viral with over 24 million views, 1.3 million likes, and thousands of comments. However, amid the comments was one from a girl named Juli Martinsson, who watched the video and commented, "I actually think you're kinda cute tbh. I mean it." To this day, the comment is pinned, and it is from someone who turned David's life upside down. A mere comment struck a chord between them, and they soon connected. Soon after, the relationship blossomed into romance as the pair started dating long-distance before she flew to Sweden to meet him. Within a year, they tied the knot, and she informed the curious social media followers of how their unexpected love story unfolded.

Juli who goes by @juli.romina.m on TikTok, revealed in a comment on her husband's YouTube video, "Shortly after the wedding, I remembered the first comment I ever made to him on his channel. Little did I know that the guy that popped up on my YouTube recommended and I thought he was very cute was going to be my husband. Funny how destiny works."

Followers of the beloved couple couldn't be more elated and left heartwarming comments under the wedding vlog video. @vivekpluch gushed, "From having no girlfriend, feeling ugly to getting married and inspiring millions, look how far you have come. Congratulations." @kw7814 echoed, "I remember watching your viral video 5 years ago, and just feeling absolutely horrible for you and for what you went through. And now today you got married. This is, despite everything, why you never give up." Another YouTube fan, @MD-xl3lj, called David an inspiration, "Congratulations I like seeing the underdog finally winning, so happy and inspired too, never give up, thanks!" @Sol_Calibre pointed out, "I think what people are missing is that you guys transcend physical appearance. I believe you two connected on a spiritual level."
