There is nothing that quite beats the feeling of lounging in your room and enjoying your own company. It is honestly very therapeutic every once in a while. Finding this level of comfort or finally meeting that one person who is just like you is hard to come by and maybe impossible for some. We spend a lifetime looking for a friend or a certain someone who is just like us but sometimes we look over the fact that they are always just around the corner. Take it from Maggie, the pug who just found a statue that looks like a doppelganger and it seems that she's really liking it. Anytime when Maggie isn't around lingering or cuddling with her older siblings, Merlin and Willow, she can be found taking a sunbath with her lookalike in the backyard, adorable videos of which are shared by the owner on TikTok.

“Maggie is a super special puppy,” said Maggie’s mom, Kamerin Bazemore, to The Dodo. “I think my favorite thing about her is her personality. She’s pretty hilarious.” Bazemore explains that Maggie has a radiant personality that shines through. “She talks back whenever you ask her something,” Bazemore added. Maggie also likes a little game of 'Hide-the-Object', wherein she takes things from around the apartment and strategically hides them under coffee tables and benches. Maggie can also be seen in her natural habitat sitting on her pooch-friendly couch like a human being which gives everyone a good laugh. “It’s truly how she prefers to sit!” Bazemore admits. However, Maggie's most peculiar yet adorable hobby is hanging out with her ceramic friend who even attended her birthday party, a video of which was posted on TikTok.

“I think she likes that spot in the yard because it gets the most sun until it sets,” Bazemore said. “Plus, she has a friend!” Bazemore is also grateful for Maggie's presence which had poured some much-needed youthful vitality into their lives. She is the youngest among her siblings and acts as a caretaker for her older siblings. Maggie's 14- year-old brother Merlin, who is blind, had deteriorating health, and 10-year-old Willow was displaying indications of loneliness, initially. But everyone was healing upon Maggie's arrival. “Maggie has taken to making sure he doesn’t hit the fence outside. Once, he fell into the pool, and she stayed right there with him the whole time.”She always spends quality time with Willow making sure she doesn't feel lonely," Bazemore added.

Even though Maggie is the newest addition to the family, it feels as if she was always there. “She’s her own special dog, and every day I’m grateful she was placed into our lives,” she said. Maggie also likes to shimmy whenever her dad sings to her. But Maggie isn't the only friendly neighborhood fluff who has won everyone's heart. 8-year-old corgi Lilo was surprised by her parents with their newborn baby Koa. Since Lilo was used to being by her herself and her parents, she didn't show much interest when her mom was pregnant. “We didn’t have any sweet moments where Lilo would lay on my wife’s belly or follow her around,” Ku told The Dodo. “It was almost as if she knew she had to share the attention and wanted some space.”

But when Lilo realized that this new person is here to stay, she reluctantly decided to co-exist with baby Ko at the same time until one day when Lilo's dad, Denny Ku, found Lilo tossing unusual objects at Koa, such as toilet paper rolls and her parents' slippers. From stuffed toys, toilet paper, and slippers, Lilo offered everything to Koa with the hopes that he would throw it back and play fetch. The pair just laughed it off saying, “So from time to time, instead of bringing us the toy or object, she would just bring it to Koa,” Ku said. Lilo anticipates the day when both of them can play but until then, Lilo will be teaching Koa the basic fundamentals of her life, that is playing.
