Teachers don't usually allow their students to eat in class in high school. So, kids get creative with sneaking snacks into classes. However, that completely changes in college as professors are more lenient when it comes to eating in classes. College Life—who goes by @collegelifeshorts on TikTok—hilariously depicted this difference in a clip that has left everyone in splits. The video began with the high schoolers, where the students were seen in a strict environment with a box of dry fruits hidden in backpack.

One of the students stretched out to carefully sneak an almond into her mouth when the other cautioned, “Don’t do it, Julia.” Unable to listen to the friend due to sheer hunger, the student slipped the piece into her mouth, causing a crunch to echo in the silent high school classroom. The stern professor immediately stopped teaching and turned around as if one had committed a serious crime. Staring eerily at every student, the professor made his way around to find out who the culprit was. As soon as he spotted Julia, he was agitated and flung her book from the desk, yelling like a monster.

While people may find it extra, not eating during class was a rule students had to swear by. On the other hand, college turned things around on a different level. One of the students asked the professor whether they could grab a snack. The professor replied, “You don’t have to ask. You can eat in my class. No big deal.” Contrary to sneaking the food, the young man proudly kept his pack of snacks on the desk and made a loud, chaotic sound trying to open it. The professor even offered to help him with the same. However, the comfort and change in approach didn’t stop there. Another student carelessly shook her to-go coffee cup.

Upon enquiring, the student said, “It’s just a cup of ice.” Without sparing a second, she hilariously took out another similar cup and shook both of them, causing commotion. It didn’t seem to baffle the professor or the student. “This is also a cup of ice,” she frankly said. “Are you drinking it? Nope? Just shaking it up? Okay, that’s also fine,” the professor said, unbothered. The next scene seemed excessive but was one for the laughs. One of the students came up with a buffet and began to attend the same. To think that the professor would be furious, instead, he asked, “Did you bring enough for the whole class?”

Colleges are known to be lenient compared to high school concerning certain disciplinary habits, but this depiction was accurate and witty. @prikachuuu shared more and said, “One time, my stomach was growling in class and my professor threw a granola bar at me and told me to bring food next time.” @dexterslab699 wrote, “We had a girl in our lab who would house McDonald’s nuggets and fries right before dissection.” @coriolanus.ownsmyheart shared a high-school scenario and added, “What I do is take a chip, soak it in saliva and then chew.”
