'The way she’s barefoot, I know she kicked the shoes off and started hustling.'

Life’s biggest achievements become even more valuable when there is someone out there to share your happiness and growth with. Sammy — who goes by the username @sammysamsamo.o on TikTok — shared a dreamy video of her graduation with her boyfriend, giving the Internet a glimpse of what a real-life fairytale romance looks like.

It was a day full of grandeur and glamor as teenagers were looking forward to officially entering adult life. The seniors in high school dressed their best and wore robes, preparing to graduate. Sammy and her boyfriend, Dante, who studied together in the same high school, looked forward to graduating together. After the ceremony concluded and the graduates threw their caps in the air, Dante ran swiftly to catch something he was never going to let go of, as Sammy herself ran from the other end like she was “running into her future.” The couple shared a warm embrace when Dante picked Sammy up in a 'princess spin'. The warm and comforting hug which whispered, “we have done this together, we will do more together,” has TikTok viewers swooning as though this were a page torn out of a romance novel.

With over 48 million views, the video garnered heartfelt comments. @natalieskulls wrote, “She got the princess spin that every girl dreams of,” and @keepinupwsuavs guessed, “The way she’s barefoot, I know she kicked the shoes off and started hustling.” @sav.holbrook wrote a comment that sounded straight out of a romantic movie, “Would they run to you in a room full of people? Yes… Yes, they would... (I swear the gun loaded itself),” while @eileenbaltes shared her experience, “And mine didn’t even go to my graduation because he ‘didn’t feel like it.’ It’s okay, I dumped him.”

Highlighting the moment’s beauty, @micheveous_ commented, “She's running so hard too, knew you would catch her, is so cute. Straight out of a movie,” while @bmw_iris expressed her feelings after watching the video, “Okay… so this is the first video I’ve genuinely sobbed at. I’m going to be alone forever, but I’m so beyond happy for y'all!” Finally, @sassypants0207 shared her beautiful experience: “At my son's girlfriend's graduation, both families sat together. I watched my son anxiously waiting to jump down onto the field to go grab her up. She threw her hat up and started straight to him. Me & her parents both looked at each other, and we knew then. There was just something about that embrace.”

High school relationships are dreamy and beautiful — skipping classes to spend time together or dreaming of graduating hand-in-hand like Sammy and Dante — but they have their own challenges. A report by Casey E. Copen and others reveals that most high school couples who get married young increase their chances of being divorced within 1 to 5 years of marriage. In their findings, J.A. Connolly and others state that high school relationships tend to get stronger with age and maturity — not rushing into them and taking one’s time can help strengthen them. R.K. Raley and others add that only about 2% of high school relationships tend to last, although we're actively wishing a better fate for Sammy and Dante.
