Here are 20 fake Spirit Halloween costumes and we just can't get enough of them
The trend started with a Twitter user sharing a photoshopped costume package with 'gay loser' as the description, featuring a picture of himself on it.
Along with imaginative costume suggestions, it appears a new meme template spoofing popular costume ideas has taken over the internet this Halloween. If you've ever dressed up for the occasion, you're certainly aware of the orange costume box from the Spirit Halloween brand, which features a description of the costume and an image of what it looks like on the front.
The trend started with a Twitter user sharing a photoshopped costume package with “gay loser” as the description, featuring a picture of himself on it, captioning it, "never shopping here ever again." The post went on to garner more than 200,000 likes and sparked off a hilarious trend on Twitter. In true social media fashion, Twitter users got creative and superimposed some amusing photographs and costume descriptions on the package as part of a new meme ahead of the scary festivities.
