People are often left with unanswered questions when a loved one disappears without a trace. Thankfully for Evi Pauline, her prayers were answered when she spotted her long-lost twin, Paul, in Prophet Prince's (@prophetprince570) TikTok video. The creator thought he was filming random content with a homeless man and posted the video on September 27, 2026. A day later, Pauline commented, asking him to reach out so she could reconnect with Paul. The video has since reached 1.2 million viewers and received 136,900 likes and 2,008 comments.

Finally found

Imagine the shock and surprise Pauline must have felt when she recognized her long-lost twin brother in Prophet Prince's video. Paul identified himself as 30 years old and said that he had been in Italy for quite some time. Pauline commented, "This is my twin brother. We have been looking for him for over five years." She further revealed that they were from Delta and Edo, and their birthday had just passed (September 25). The last time she heard from him, he was in Italy, studying. She said he entered Italy through Libya. She also shared the last photo Paul had sent her five years ago in the comments to show it was truly him. She asked Prophet Prince to respond to her message so she could reconnect with her twin.

'Do you know me?'

Thankfully, Prophet Prince saw her comment and reached out. He went back to find Paul and reconnected the siblings through a video call. Paul was visibly emotional when Prophet Prince handed him the phone. Pauline was already on the call, and Paul's first words were, "Who is this? This is my sister. This is my twin sister." Tuko detailed that Paul had several questions for Pauline: "Do you know me? I am still alive. Are you pregnant? How is school? Are you married? How did you connect with this young man and find me?" Paul also asked about family members who had passed away since they last talked. Paul's family asked him to come back to Nigeria. Prophet Prince even arranged a GoFundMe account for Paul. So far, they've raised €344 (~$455) out of €22,000 (~$29,000).

Reconnecting with people from the past

The internet can be a wonderful tool when used the right way. A study by Pew Research Center found that 40% of internet users had been contacted by someone from their past who found them online. Additionally, 20% of users reconnected with someone from their past thanks to the internet. 46% of adults looked for information regarding someone they had lost touch with, similar to Pauline, who spotted her twin brother from a video.

Viewers noted how Paul was pretending like everything was fine to avoid his family from getting worried about him. @tokyo2004 commented, "This man, they try to make her laugh so that he doesn't cry. Smart man." @i_am_yungzy added, "The fact that he’s asking funny questions to divert their attention from how he’s living is something else. In all, give God praise."
