Children have an extraordinary way of healing hearts they never broke. With their pure laughter, tender hugs, and unfiltered love, they offer comfort in ways adults often can't. Their presence serves as a reminder that even the smallest gestures can bring profound healing. Maria Fernanda (@xxpuropinche420xx on Threads) recently shared how her young son brought light into her day, gently helping to mend her "broken heart."

Fernanda revealed that while preparing her son for bed, the little boy looked at her and asked, "Mommy, you look sad!" Perhaps not wanting to lie to her son, the woman smiled and said, "Yeah! I am a little sad." What happened next was truly heartwarming, especially for a mother. "He then said he knows how to fix it and kissed me on the cheek," the mother revealed. Overflowing with emotions, Fernanda giggled and said, "Thank you, baby! But mommy has a broken heart and it's going to take time to heal."

However, her son was determined not to leave his mommy alone, especially after sensing that something was troubling her. The young child exclaimed, "Well! I know how we can fix that Mom!" He then pretended to take her heart away, crumple it and say, "We will throw this broken heart away." Next, Fernanda's son turned around, shaped a heart with his hands and pretended to place the new heart inside his mother. "We put this new heart in you! Don't you feel better now Mommy?” he asked. Overwhelmed by her son's heart-touching gesture, Fernanda promised to do her best to raise him well and protect his heart of gold.

The heartfelt post resonated deeply with social media users, especially fellow mothers. For instance, @sharschmidt_ wrote, "I was sad the other day - about a MAN - and my son asked what was wrong. I told him someone said something to me that hurt my feelings and I was sad about it. He said, 'I know what will cheer you up! Huggies and kissies!' And proceeded to smother me with hugs and kisses. He asked if I felt better and I said I was still sad, but much less. He made sure to ask me all throughout the day if my sadness was going away. He’s such a sweet boy." @marimirmac wrote, "That's cute! But I’m not sure if you should show it to him, as he can think he is responsible for making you feel better and feel this pressure and sadness with you."

Meanwhile, @loislorraine wrote, "Unfortunately my son who is 49 hates me. He loves everyone else. I don’t have a clue and I’ve asked him why and he says if I don’t know then he isn't going to tell me. I’m 71 and about as sad as can be. I have two wonderful daughters but not my son. Keep your boys close." On the other hand, @ofmindandmagick wrote, "Thank you for being honest with your son about what you were feeling in the moment... On behalf of a former child whose mother faked happiness all the time but even the kid could see it was a facade. Your son will trust you because you are honest with him about what he can clearly see with his own eyes."
