Love can be found in all shapes and forms. The four-letter word is beyond all boundaries and rationalities. You can find love in your friends, parents, siblings, coworkers, and even your materialistic possessions. However, one such type of love that transcends time and space is the love for a pet. Similarly, in a video posted by Adrienne, who goes by @adrienneliane on TikTok, she shared the love between her labrador named Goose and her neighbor named Drew.

Adrienne, from Toronto, Canada, brought in a chocolate-colored Labrador named Goose. The 3-year-old dog is not only attached to his family but also to his next-door neighbor, Drew. Adrienne added the conversation between herself and Drew in her viral video. "Is Goose available?" texted Drew. Adrienne replied to that, “Yes! Should I send him over?” Drew jokingly approved, “Release the Goose.”

The video then pointed at Goose, who could not control himself from running to Drew’s house. The moment Adrienne opens the gate, Goose runs off to the house next door, where Drew is all set to greet the little boy. “Our neighbor and my family both had elderly dogs when we met. We lost ours (Oscar) and got Goose four months after he passed. During this time, our neighbor’s dog passed too. He and Jasper had a sweet relationship, and he was deeply loved,” Adrienne said, per Newsweek. Drew’s love comes especially from a position where he is mourning his dog’s death. Goose is empathetic enough to have sensed the love Drew has to offer him.

“He would come outside to see him if we were on the front lawn,” Adrienne continued, “When we booked a trip to Disney, I thought maybe we could ask Drew if he wanted to watch Goose while we were away. It was a very quick ‘YES.’” She believes that their bond did not flourish only during their trip but also in the months that followed. The duo loves to go for hikes, to dog parks, and even to hang out at Drew’s apartment.

“Goose brings him so much joy and vice versa.” Adrienne added, “As a family with a young daughter, we appreciate the love and support so that Goose gets the same amount of attention.” Adrienne also believes that Drew is a “dog whisperer.” She expressed, “All the pups in our area stop to say hi when he's outside. He's kind, gentle, loving—and dogs have an innate sense about people. Goose just knows he's his kind of person.”

The friendship between humans and dogs goes back thousands of years. According to a study by the University of Arizona, scientists have revealed that the relationship between dogs and human beings is not new, as it dates back 12,000 years, per Science Daily. “We now have evidence that canids and people had close relationships earlier than we knew they did in the Americas,” stated the lead study author, François Lanoë, an assistant research professor in the University of Arizona School of Anthropology in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

After watching the wholesome video, @dianaferreiravo commented, “I have a Labrador for the first time, and I swear this is the only dog I’ve ever had that has made human friends.” @elf32991 humorously wrote, “‘Is Goose available?’ Like he’s got a day of appointments.” @aquapuggiez expressed, “People letting me see their dogs after mine passed was honestly what helped me heal, so this is so kind of you.” @weldragon said, “I think this entire comment section would fund a camera just to see this interaction.”
