She thought it was 'her turn to have love' when a green-flag guy promised to open a café in her name. Then the girl he'd asked her to block DM-ed her

A woman named Anji (@anji_story) thought she had met her future husband until his girlfriend popped up in her DMs. For Anji, her boyfriend was a "green flag” and one of those people she felt lucky to have. In fact, she was so sure of him that she had planned to introduce him to her parents. But little did Anji know her happily ever after was about to turn into a nightmare. Amidst her dream life, she noticed one of his friends following her on social media. Confused, Anji informed her boyfriend about the other girl, who then asked her to block her. She was almost convinced to do so until the stranger exposed his weekend golfing trips. Heartbroken, Anji shared her story on September 22, 2026, and her video has received over 5.5 million views.

The seemingly 'perfect' life

After a year of dating, Anji finally introduced her boyfriend online on September 17. By then, the couple had already met each other’s friends, traveled together, and seemingly settled into a serious relationship. "I thought I was the luckiest girl alive," Anji recounted. She also shared how her boyfriend used to take her on trips and pay for her flights. He had even promised to marry her in Vegas and open a cafe in her name. "We were about to fly to the Czech Republic to meet my parents and then to the USA to meet his," Anji recalled. Her seemingly perfect life soon took a surprising turn. Anji noticed one of his friends following her. When she asked her boyfriend about it, he asked her to block her. 

The truth came knocking

However, soon the stranger introduced herself as Anji's boyfriend's girlfriend. "[HE] told me you guys were just really good friends even though you’ve had a history,” she informed her. The stranger added that the man had also promised her marriage and was already planning camping and golfing trips for the two of them that weekend. Anji soon realized her boyfriend’s Sunday golf trips were actually a cover for seeing his other girlfriend. "I have never been so humiliated in my life. I feel tricked, betrayed, and heartbroken. I changed my life for this man," she expressed. In the end, Anji urged people to trust their gut. 

Trust your instincts

True to her statement, research (Martin PI, 2024) cited by CheatScanX revealed that 85% of women who suspected their partner of cheating were correct. Similarly, according to a survey by Psychology Today, approximately 21.5% of people caught their cheating partners, while 56.8% confessed independently. Anji was in the rare 4.5% of cases where the partner comes to know about the infidelity through the intervention of a third party.

'Dodged a bullet'

Since Anji blocked her ex-boyfriend’s face in the video, viewers urged her to reveal him because he made wrong choices and he should be shamed for that. For example, @petbrook said, "Girl, show his face. Make him pay!” Similarly, @loveamoose91 commented, “Should be able to sue these men... we need a public database with their info to protect other women. God, I'm so angry on your behalf.”
