Liv gave him multiple opportunities to get his act together

Catching modern-day cheaters requires modern-day techniques. Olivia/Liv (@horchata810) took to TikTok on July 15, 2024, to expose how she caught her boyfriend. The pair had been dating for two years, and people were actually rooting for them to get married one day. However, while Liv was on vacation, her best friend reported something suspicious she had seen at the gym. Liv took to Snapchat to see if it was true, and she found out her boyfriend had broken an important relationship rule. The video received 330,400 views, 26,200 likes, and 196 comments.
It all began in January 2024 when Liv and her boyfriend were part of the Sound Team for their school's talent show. But for some reason, she was not included in the group chat and was often left out of plans. When she brought up the issue, he said it was out of his control, but he continued to hang out with the group. The weird part was that Liv was friends with the majority of the girls. In February, they went on a family trip when she noticed one of the girls, who was also her friend, snapping him constantly. Usually, he'd tell her when he added someone new, but this time he kept it on the down-low. By March, Liv told him she was uncomfortable that they snapped each other so much, but he ignored it.

In March, Liv was on a trip when she received a text from her best friend, who told her she saw her boyfriend with another girl at the gym. Liv had been friends with this girl for 10 years. She said, "I always told him if you ever go to the gym with a girl alone, that's cheating, in my opinion." Apparently, they had agreed it was a boundary in their relationship. "I saw my friend's location at the gym too," so she decided to check what they were doing there together.
She texted him, "'Are you at the gym?' and he was like, 'Yeah.' And I was like, 'Who are you with?' and he was like, 'Myself.'" He had already broken their rule, but when she asked who he was with, he lied. Liv had already seen their Snapchat locations showing that the girl picked him up from his house to go to the gym. When she confronted him, he lied again, saying he had met her at the gym and then started working out together.

When Liv got back from the trip, her boyfriend wanted to have a talk about her "controlling" nature. They ended up calling it quits but were back to normal a few days later. When she asked him to remove the first girl on Snapchat, he did but complained about it. Later on, he added her back again. Liv later found out that he had added other girls as well after they decided to give their relationship a chance. Time and again, he did questionable things that made Liv feel she was a bad girlfriend. But after a few more months of the same antics, she broke it off with him in May 2024.
Snapchat has earned a notorious reputation for people cheating on their partners over the years. A study conducted by Tasha R. Dunn, published in The Journal of Social Media in Society, revealed that 20% of the respondents in their survey admitted to emotionally cheating on their partners through Snapchat. Another survey conducted by Magnum Investigations found that Instagram is the number one app (34%) where online cheating happened. It was followed by Snapchat (19%), WhatsApp (16%), SMS (12%), and Telegram (8%). If Liv did not have both her boyfriend and her friend added on Snapchat, she never would've had proof that he was 'cheating' on her at the gym.

Netizens were shocked by the way Liv's boyfriend treated her. @ellaaaaaaaaa111 wrote, "The gaslighting is crazy." @vickicrosse added, "And how dare he exclude you from the group of friends. Major red flag."
