Growing up, children learn and explore much and have this adorable need to pitch in to help their parents in any way that is possible. Hannah Waddingham’s 9-year-old daughter shared this pure expression of love by offering to contribute to her mum’s outfit at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards recently. As per PEOPLE, the actor revealed the story behind the cardboard purse she carried along with her designer outfit at the awards and it is too wholesome.

Waddingham carried the cardboard clutch with the most random and bizarre colors and shapes drawn across. The word “epic,” was also written all over the clutch to represent the 9-year-old artist’s thoughts on her mom’s look for the event. "My daughter wanted to contribute, so she made me a bag," Waddingham said, as she flaunted her clutch during the photoshoot and talked with the host. After a heartfelt conversation about motherhood, the actor mentioned that the role of a mom is the most important, compared to any other. “This is all great but this [being a mom] is the most important,” she remarked.

The very act of Waddingham choosing to pair her 9-year-old’s handmade clutch with a heavy designer outfit for an important evening shows the bond the actor shares with her daughter. In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Waddingham shared that motherhood is tough but undoubtedly rewarding and she enjoys every bit as it comes. "My primary function is being a single mama. Mommy guilt is real, but I keep saying to her that we are a team and that I have to do this. I have to strike while the iron is hot. I'm not so conceited that I would think that I will always have this kind of focus. I've always said to her, 'Mommy must take this time while the light shines on me because the light shines on you',” she said.

Waddingham shared in another interview how she gets amused by her daughter and her words. The actor shared that she was having a conversation about who inspires her daughter and her little one replied, “Harry Styles and you.” While Waddingham was doubtful of being second on the list, she exclaimed, “I was taken aback and said, ‘Baby girl, you have made my day, my week and my month'.” She then added how she spoke to her daughter about being away from her for shooting and other things and what a struggle it was.

The little girl gave the most understanding and heartwarming reply, saying, “I know mummy but you know, you’ve got to go and do your things so we can do all our things.” “She said the most beautiful thing,” Waddignham pointed out. The actor is extremely honored to have a daughter who understands and loves her.
