Halsey explains why she considers breast milk to be the 'best skincare ingredient'

Halsey is revealing their secret skincare ingredient - her breast milk. The 28-year-old singer, who became a mom to her son Ender in July 2021, revealed their skin care regimen and go-to makeup. Since they gave birth to Eden, whom they share with partner Alev Aydin, Halsey said they updated their skincare routine, reported PEOPLE. "I've always been really conscious about what goes on my skin, but when your baby is kissing you or snuggled up against you, you become hyper-cognizant of what's on your face," they told Nylon. "I love the Biologique Repecharge's colostrum VG serum, which I got into when I first had my son."

"I started breastfeeding, and I figured out that breast milk is the best skincare ingredient ever because it's so full of antioxidants and good fats and stuff that speed up the healing process," they said. “I’ve always been really conscious about what goes on my skin,” Halsey told Nylon.

Halsey knows what they are doing for skincare, as science also substantiates this. “Non-nutritional uses of human breast milk can be considered examples of personalized medicine,” that need further study but have potential. They added that “Breast milk is a natural agent and is biologically suitable for the body, having no side effects; it is always available and can be used in all social and economic groups of society,” though, of course not all people who give birth are able (or want) to breastfeed for any number of reasons. 

As for Halsey's journey of motherhood, she had shared a picture of their son just a few weeks ago. The "So Good" singer shared several pictures on Instagram. Some of them are new and adorable pictures of the 20-month-old Eden. The first photo in the carousel is a beautiful mother-son moment, where Halsey is seen wearing a beige v-neck shirt and smiling at the baby while gently holding him in their arms so he can have a look at the mirror. In the next picture, Ender is sitting on the ground in a light blue sweatshirt, white and red striped pants and brown cowboy boots as he holds a pink chalk in his hand. Halsey captioned the post "ces derniers temps," which means "lately" in English.

The pop star last shared a glimpse of Ender briefly in an Instagram Reel on March 23, showing the toddler smiling as Halsey held him in their lap as they wore some makeup, as reported by PEOPLE. They also shared some moments where Ender was climbing on top of their face. A few days before this video, Halsey shared various snippets of Ender on Instagram, where the singer funnily captured a clip of him using a mini-blower to blow off paper leaves in several directions before he walked away.
