The sealed envelope eventually found her dad, who handed it over to his son on his wedding day

Charlotte Reddy was a little girl when she watched the famous illusionist Derren Brown perform, back in 2019. Sitting in the audience, she had the opportunity to ask him a question. But, instead of asking something random, Charlotte wanted to know something very specific about her brother, Liam, and his girlfriend, Emily. Her innocent question remained sealed in an envelope, tucked away until Brian, her dad, handed it to Liam to read it aloud at his wedding six years later. Their wedding photographer, Tyler and Julia Stoltzfus (@thestoltzphoto.co), shared the beautiful moment on May 1, which has since been viewed 575,000 times on their Instagram page.
Liam and Emily met each other in 2018 through family and friends. Although the two did not feel a spark right away, others did. In fact, a year later, Liam's parents and his sister were attending a show when Brown insisted that the audience scribble down a question in a sealed envelope and submit it to him. Charlotte, who was only 12 years old, took the opportunity to ask if her brother Liam would end up marrying his then-girlfriend, Emily. However, she couldn't submit her question on time. The sealed envelope returned home with Charlotte and eventually reached her dad, who saved it for the right moment. Six years later, Brian handed over the envelope to Liam to read it to the guests who had gathered to watch him marry the love of his life, Emily. "Are my brother Liam and his girlfriend Emily going to get married?" Liam read his sister's message, only to see her crying with joy.

A YouGov survey of 3967 U.S. adults found that 39% of respondents believe that manifestation works, while nearly an equal share of respondents (38%) disagreed. While different people have different opinions on manifestation, can positive thinking and imagining that something will happen help make it happen? Well, in conversation with Parade, Tanya J. Peterson, a licensed therapist, shared how manifestation itself isn't backed by scientific evidence. But positive manifestations can influence a person psychologically. "When you can accept and acknowledge that life has negatives and setbacks, identify your own strengths and positive character traits, and use your strengths every day to take steps toward your goals, you position yourself to manifest your deepest dreams and desires. Because you know that life is also full of positives and triumphs, you keep going despite obstacles and setbacks. This is the true power and meaning of manifestation," she explained.

Meanwhile, reacting to the Instagram reel, @camilagranco recalled, "My little brother was 10 when he asked if I was going to marry my now-husband. I asked him why, and he replied, 'Because I don’t know my life without him.'"
