'I’d be scheduling to renew my vows the next day, because he needs to be married twice.'
Most men in love who vow to love, cherish, and protect the woman they wish to marry, try to fulfill it at all costs — even if it has the possibility of hurting them in the process. The wedding videography page Frassetto Films — which goes by the username @frassetto_films on Instagram — shared a video of a bride and groom interrupted by an uninvited guest — a hornet. The groom’s reaction to the bride’s discomfort has the Internet swooning.
On January 3, 2025, Frassetto Films shared the video of the holy union of two people in love, which was met with an unexpected disturbance. The bride and groom were exchanging vows, standing at the altar, promising to “cherish” one another forever, when a hornet interrupted their precious moment. It flew into the bride’s gown and caused her discomfort, making her squirm. One of the bridesmaids rushed in to help, but was unable to get it out, no matter how hard she tried. That’s when the groom came in with the perfect solution — he slid his hand into the back of her gown and swiftly took the hornet out, unflinching and unafraid. The guests broke out into loud praise, and the bride delightfully said, “Now, that’s vows to remember.”
The groom’s selfless gesture not only won over the guests but also the Internet. @thesinglemomager wrote, “That's why she's marrying him! He protects her without a second thought,” while @dazsalty emphasized the hilarious comment one of the guests at the wedding made, “Honeymoon's coming a little early.” @charlizeluvs supported the bride for making the right choice by writing, “Him grabbing the bee bare-handed and throwing it was enough for me to see why he’s your husband,” and @_embersun_ had an advice for all the ladies: “Get a man that will grab a hornet out of your dress.”
For a change, @burningapplepie pointed out, “Everyone is praising the groom, but are y'all not going to acknowledge how calm the bride was?” @hazalcivlez joked, “This was the last test before marriage, and he passed it,” while @pttroyer expressed how they had perfect chemistry: “Perfect couple. She stayed calm and he fixed it at risk to himself.” @blossomzoie highlighted, "‘I'll get stung,’ and grabs it out of her dress. Tries to help her keep from panicking. That is exactly why she married him,” and @peanutbuttercupssuck expressed, “I’d be scheduling to renew my vows the next day, because he needs to be married twice.”

When a relationship is driven by love, care, and respect, the people living it generally do not fear being selfless, just like the groom in the video. He did not care that the hornet might sting him, and took it out with his bare hands to protect his bride from a pain that may have followed. A study by David Moore and others shares how acting selflessly can make you more attractive. When they asked a few heterosexual female participants about altruistic characteristics in males, they commented that it boosted their level of attractiveness. Another study by Yue Zhang and others suggests that “sacrifices are a testament to dedication” in a romantic relationship and are immensely “admirable.” However, they must be made healthily so as not to exhaust oneself while being a giver to a spouse.
Any relationship can become a thousand times more beautiful when both people involved in it love to selflessly meet the needs of one another.
