Most of us want to be remembered as someone who positively impacted the world after our demise. To be spoken of with love and respect by people who knew us closely is the ultimate honor and legacy we can leave behind. A woman named Allison Kordisch Tucker—who goes by @allisonkordischtucker on TikTok—found this to be the case with her late father while traveling to his funeral with her mom. She shared a moving video she filmed during the funeral procession upon noticing how her dad's co-workers chose to send him off.

In the video, as Tucker traveled behind her father's hearse, she and her mother became even more emotional when passing by her father's former workplace. Tucker's dad, Dr. Foster Clinton Kordisch Jr., was a man who was respected and loved by his family and peers. To bid him a heartfelt farewell, Dr. Kordisch Jr.'s coworkers gathered along the sidewalk, forming a long chain by holding hands, as a gesture of appreciation for the departed.

"When we left the service, we passed one of the offices his clinic has and his nurses and staff were out on the street lined up to show respect for my dad. It was a small, beautiful moment on such a sad day. I have always felt like people need to be kind and there for each other. This was one of those moments when people showed up," Tucker told Newsweek in an interview. "He was dedicated to helping those in need. I can recall many times when he saw kids when parents could not afford to pay. They would give him oysters or some other form of appreciation," she added. Besides being an amazing doctor, he is remembered as a dedicated husband, father and a human being who was "so full of life."

"My dad was my everything," Tucker recalled. "He would flood our yard when we would have a freeze to make an ice-skating rink for the neighborhood, play the dashboard of a car like a piano for Disney sing-alongs and he never turned his back on his family. I could call him for anything and he was always there. He loved my mom so incredibly much." In the last few years of his life, Dr. Kordisch suffered from complications that surfaced after a knee replacement surgery. He eventually passed away on October 10, 2024, leaving behind his grieving widow, Barbara, and four adult children and grandchildren.

"It left an impact on my family," Tucker admitted. "My mom broke down when she saw them outside. I always knew my dad was a wonderful man. But it was touching to see so many of his coworkers paying tribute to my dad. Most will remember his generosity. He lived a small little life but took in so many people. He loved to give and help others. I'm so proud to call him my dad." Dr. Kordisch Jr. was a pediatrician who opened his first solo pediatric practice clinic in 1975, per the outlet. In 1980, his practice merged with the Children's Clinic to become what is currently known as the Children's Clinic of Southwest Louisiana. Many who knew Tucker's dad left heartfelt condolences in the video's comment section.

@ams12812 revealed, "Your dad was my pediatrician from birth to 10 years. We moved, but I have never forgotten him and never will. He had such a special way with his patients. He will truly be missed." @annawhitehead6 commented, "This is precious and heartbreaking. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was obviously deeply respected and loved." @coastdiy wrote, "Sending love. My mom was a nurse. There were a hundred nurses in white at her funeral. It was 30 years ago, but it's all I remember." @louisianagirl2001 added, "Recognize my kids' pediatrician standing there. We saw your dad on a few occasions, and he was a wonderful physician. Praying for your family."
