It's never easy to see your loved one leave this world. Especially, when a child who barely even lived passes away, life is never the same for the parents. In such cases, parents try their best to make their dying child's final moments unforgettable. However, in the case of the 17-month-old Sloane, not just the parents but the nurses who took care of her also strived to give the little one a wholesome goodbye. Sloane's mother, Brittany Johnson took to TikTok to share her gratitude for all the nurses who showered their love for Sloane during her last days.

This April, Johnson shared a heart-wrenching video with a beautiful message for Sloane's nurses. Clippings of Johnson and her partner carrying Sloane and walking through the hospital's hallway with the medical staff offering their final respects to the little girl will make even a stone-hearted person shed tears. "We could truly never imagine how those nurses do it, but they do it," the text overlay read. Johnson then thanked every nurse who was a part of Sloane's last days. A compassionate nurse who took the 17-month-old on her last wagon ride, the nurse who put Sloane's hair in piggies and the nurse who found Johnson a nail polish to pain her daughter's nails for the first and last time were all acknowledged.

Despite hunger and exhaustion, a nurse took care of Sloane's meds every 10 minutes and the mom was thankful for her efforts. "To the nurse who had to leave the room while I screamed so I wouldn't see you cry, I saw you. I thank you," Johnson wrote. The mom then thanked all the primary nurses who were with Sloane during her hospital time and even at her funeral. "To the nurses and staff who lined both halls, leaving NICU, then my arms forever, I will forever owe eternal gratitude to you all. Thank you," the mom added. In the video's caption, the mom mentioned that her late daughter was loved and cared for so much by all the nurses during her final moments. "Sloane, you left an impact on this world sweet girl," Johnson mentioned.

Gaining nearly 3 million views, this video had the internet in tears. "As a student nurse who is stressing out, you just showed me why I should keep pushing. This is bigger than me! So sorry for your baby girl," said @s_cole__. "As a NICU nurse, just know we love you and your babies so much! We cry with you and mourn with you. Sending you so many prayers and love," reassured @krista.ann_. "My heart is overwhelmed. Such an impossible thing to endure, and still, you took the time for gratitude. Know they’ll never forget your girl," chimed in @kimpossible0624.

While Sloane left this world last October, the grieving mom still shares some special moments of the little one on her social media. Though several complications prevented Sloane from donating her organs after being announced brain dead, the hospital staff let the parents experience the "honor walk," that many donors take before they are operated, per People. "Nurses do a lot more than we realize. They experience a lot more. They go through this over and over and over again. And that really touches me, realizing just how involved they are with these families," Johnson told the news channel.

@____bjohnson I get asked constantly how they do it. I honestly could not tell you. But Sloane was LOVED by them. All throughout her 9 month NICU stay. Even at her funeral. They always showed up for us and loved her so much. Sloane you left an impact on this world sweet girl. To those nurses I will never have enough words to say how thankful I am for you. #tracheostomy #greifjourney #foreversloanexo ♬ Prayer and Meditation - Dr. Kwadwo Bempah
