The granddaughter who shared the wholesome moment with the internet felt that the gesture healed her grandpa too.
Parents might want the best of the world for their children, but sometimes, their circumstances may not allow them to make it happen. It could make them feel like something is missing or has been robbed away from them because of things they couldn't control. However, one couple refused to let anything get the best of them and got toys as Christmas gifts for their adult children for the first time. The wholesome gesture seemed to have healed the inner child of not just the kids but also of the parents. The granddaughter, Jessica–who goes by @jessicaca1400 on TikTok–took to the platform to share the heartwarming moment.
"My grandparents gave toys to their kids for the first time ever," the text overlay of the video read. All the aunts and uncles stood in a circle as they opened their Christmas gifts. There were excited noises as the grandma and grandpa stood expectantly to see their children's reactions. The moment they realized what they had gotten as gifts, they looked super happy, which was also reflected on the grandparents' faces. The couple was ecstatic as their children opened gifts with toy cars and dolls inside them. Each one of them went ahead and gave their parents a big hug after opening their presents.
"They always gave them the necessities but never had enough for toys," Jessica revealed. The people also held up their gifts, showing them off to each other. "My grandpa got emotional." The family clicked a picture with their toys. The granddaughter also shared snapshots of her grandparents buying the toys for all their children. The caption read, "My grandparents gifted my aunts/uncles toys for the first time ever to heal their inner child, but in the end, I think it healed something in my grandpa too." The video received more than 5.4 million views and over 1.3 million likes. People in the comments appreciated the moment that healed so many people.

She was really poor growing up and never had a doll. I gave her one, and she broke down crying. 'This is my first doll. I never had one,' she kept repeating." @anarchysmom remarked, "As a parent, I can guarantee you they wanted to buy toys for their babies when they were little. I'm so glad they could do this."
@pattyg70isew shared, "My poor mom, she tried raising three girls on her own. We never had Christmas, but it's ok. She lives with me now. She's 94, and I make sure she gets Christmas!" @kimmyzht84 expressed, "I was thinking that they probably got one of their grandkids to get the gifts for them, but seeing the clip of the grandpa at the store actually picking the toys out for his kids was so sweet!" @littlechild_devil pointed out, "The fact that they are all so excited for the gifts, the guys all smiling looking at their trucks and cars and the women all happy with their babies."
