Grandma passes the vibe check by grooving to rap music with dancers at the supermarket

Watching elderly people make the most of their lives is the true inspiration that younger generations need. Breaking the barriers of age, some elders embrace spontaneity and blend seamlessly with the shenanigans of the young. Every so often, heartwarming videos of a grandma or grandpa dancing their hearts out pop up on the internet. One such video was shared by popular dancer and social media influencer Lilmark—@lilmark_m256 on TikTok—and it went viral instantly. A grandma grooving along with random dancers in the middle of a supermarket stole millions of hearts online.

Lilmark is known for making dance videos and featuring popular hook steps at public places like streets, sidewalks, foodcourts and supermarkets. This July, while he was showing off his moves to a rap song by BossMan Dlow, an adorable onlooker tagged along. Lilmark and two more dancers who were capturing him on their phones synchronized their steps to the rap music and a grandma joined them by trying to mimic their moves. With one of the cameramen showing her how it's done, the grandma almost kept up with the young dancers. Her quick yet clumsy moves were so precious that some of the supermarket customers enjoyed watching her dance her heart out.

This video garnered over 11 million views in a couple of weeks and people were absolutely in awe of the grandma's cool moves. "The world is falling apart but Auntie said she's going to live and have fun anyway. Loving the vibes," said @southernirl_19788. "Aw, she was happy to be a part of it. I just wish more people would enjoy life like this instead of being angry all the time and ready to call the police on people for enjoying their life," pointed out @latonyab7. "He made sure she stayed aware of what dance was next," added @royalti_v. "Grandma had been waiting her whole life for this," quipped @nursechacha.

The "dancer" grandma got so much love and attention on the internet that Lilmark decided to make a follow-up video with her. As a special treat to the grandma's fans, the video showed Lilmark and the woman grooving to the same rap song. This time they showed off more peppy moves and grandma tried to adorably imitate the dancer's steps. The wide grin on her face showed how much she loved this and she danced so confidently with no hesitancy that the supermarket customers might be watching her. This duo's video went viral with nearly 2 million views.

Speaking of elderly people living their best lives, a video of an old couple matching steps while dancing to peppy music at the mall's food court had the internet's hearts. In a video shared by u/RevolutionaryTell668 on Reddit, a grandma and grandpa performed a synchronized line dance with dozens of mall-goers watching them. While the elderly pair grooved gracefully to the tunes of Paul Russel's "Lil Boo Thang," their infectious spirit made some spectators join their dance too. People cheered the couple on for caring the least about the world and dancing to their heart's fullest.
