Grandparents love their grandkids. They probably love them more than their kids because they do not have to actively worry for them. There are numerous stories and movies about the love of grandparents, especially grandmothers, that they shower on their grandkids and how much these little munchkins mean to them. On that note, a granddaughter named Pailey Hope–who goes by @therealrelativedistance on TikTok–posted a video wherein she shared a few voice messages that her grandmother had saved.

Hope's grandmother had been saving milestone voice messages since she was 3 years old. The video begins with someone pressing the messages option on an old telephone, which says, "18 old messages." The first message goes something like this, "Hey, it's me, Grandma. I mean, me. Me, Pailey. And you won't believe it, but I just got a new scooter." Hope then describes her new scooter to her grandma, saying that it's pretty and she loves it. She asks her grandma to call her back and keep the call with a kiss.

In the second message, Hope asks if her grandmother would like to come over and watch G-Force with her since her mom is going out. In the next message, she calls up her grandma to let her know she is on the highway and an hour away. She says, "I am not sure if you are home or if you get this message. Tell my mom that I love her." In the proceeding message, Hope says, "Hi, Grandma. I just wanted to say good night. I love you and I miss you. And I miss Oliver too. Oh, give Oliver kisses from me and I love you, Grandma." Hope later clarified in a comment on her Instagram post of the same video that Oliver was her cat since she was a kid and that he unfortunately died a year ago.

In the next message, Hope sounds mature and apologetic for something she seems to be regretful about. She says, "Hey, it's Pailey. I am almost 15 and I wanted to leave a voice message for you. By the way, Grandma, sorry for being a terrible, terrible kid for 15 years." In the last voice note that Hope added in the video, she seems to be telling her grandma about her new job. She says, "Wanted to let you know, I got the job on the spot. Yeah, I just had an interview at Subway and I just got the job, so, I'm just really happy."

The comment section of this video was as happy as ever. @ramentortoise said, "I'm 25 and I wish I could know what my voice sounded like as a kid. My family never recorded anything and I barely have photos past 4 years old." @_vitalmanc dropped some pearls of wisdom and said, "I know you all miss somebody and this brings some hard feelings for some, but I want you to remember that nobody's home forever when we about them." @userkim3194 wonders and comments, "Oh, I wonder where grandma was that she couldn't hear these messages" and now that they have mentioned it, we are wondering about it as well!
