Agustina Wetzel (@agustinawetzel) asked her grandparents to write their names on a piece of paper without telling them that she would get that tattooed on her. Later, when she returned to show them her tattoo, it was her grandparents' reaction that made the moment extra special.

Agustina told Bored Panda that she already had her idol's signature tattooed on her, so she thought she would do something similar for her grandparents. Agustina wanted to get a drawing made by her grandparents tattooed, but her family insisted she should get a tattoo of their names, and she loved the idea. The woman went to her grandparents and asked them to write their names on a paper, saying that she needed it for a college assignment. After they signed the paper, Agustina went to a tattoo artist and got it tattooed just above her ankle. She returned to her grandparents and showed them the tattoo on her leg. Both her grandparents got very emotional, but it was his grandpa's reaction that stole the show. Marcos, her grandfather, couldn't understand her gift at first, but later, when he realized he couldn't hold back his emotions.

"My grandfather doesn’t like tattoos. Whenever he sees a tattoo on me, I say that it is temporary, but when I told him that this one would last a lifetime, he was so thrilled!" Agustina said. After her video went viral, she returned to Twitter to share another picture with her grandparents and wrote, "Really amazing the repercussion that the video had, thank you all for the nice words." Tattoos have become a popular way to honor people and express their feelings. In a 2023 survey, when American adults were asked about the reason for getting a tattoo, surprisingly, the most common reason was to honor or remember someone or something. The survey also found that more women (73%) than men (63%) had a tattoo, meant to honor somebody or something they love.  Meanwhile, reacting to the beautiful video, @lilisandranew commented, "My God, what a tremendous lesson in love you gave, beautiful! The respect and affection for parents and grandparents is more than moving. I cried with you all, and I wish I had seen this earlier. I would have my mother's name tattooed on my skin because she's already in my heart! Congratulations, genius!"

Overwhelmed by the gesture, @ivanveradelgado said, "I congratulate you and thank you for the idea. My mom has Alzheimer's, but I'll ask her to make the drawing she wants, and I'll get it tattooed. All my grandparents have passed away, and so has my dad, but your gesture is pure love, and your grandfather's tears still make me cry. I send you a huge hug and thank you." Another user, @smartabeatriz, wrote, "Wow, how intense! You made me cry. So much tenderness from you and the excited grandparents. Grandpa got too emotional; I'm crying. Grandma took it more with laughter. Thanks for sharing such an intimate and family moment. Hugs, and I hope you have your grandparents for a long time."
