Girls have hilarious reactions to meeting an attractive teacher in a 1965 social experiment

We all remember the good old days of the school years when our favorite teacher would walk into the classroom and make the alarm clock’s ring worth it for that day. We’ve all experienced the butterflies in our stomachs, the blush on our cheeks and the ear-to-ear smile when that good-looking teacher walked into the classroom. Well, if you have forgotten what it felt like, this 1965 social experiment video will remind you all about it. The black-and-white YouTube footage shot by Candid Camera Classic, a hidden camera reality television series from the 1960s, captures the reactions of two girls meeting their handsome, young, tall teacher for the first time. The video is titled “Gorgeous Teacher” and the narrator says, “These girls were introduced to their handsome new teacher and we’ve got a chance to watch and listen after the fellow left the room.”

The teacher is a man in his mid-twenties, clean-shaved, with a defined jawline, perfectly trimmed and set hair and with a charisma like that of an actor straight out of a Hollywood film. The teacher takes his place on the desk and the two girls can be seen staring at the teacher in absolute awe and mouth-opened shock. The teacher then proceeds to ask, “I’d like to know whether the girls would like to be in my class." Upon being asked this question, the girls can hardly believe that this is even a question and immediately break into a smile and blushingly say “yes” to the teacher. Sadly, he is then called away due to a phone call that requires his attendance and he politely seeks permission from his students to be excused for the phone call, which moves the girls as he asks their permission.

What transpires next is the quintessential reaction of the two teenage girls when faced with divine-human beauty right in front of them. The moment the teacher heads towards the door, they face each other and erupt into shocking expressions on their faces with their hands on their mouths, almost questioning what they had just witnessed. One of the girls can be seen constantly turning back to follow the teacher with her eyes, all the way out of the classroom. Once the teacher is out of their sight, they are unable to contain their excitement within themselves and their hands reach out to express what they are feeling, trembling with joy. They giggle and gossip about the teacher, talking about how he looks “so young”. They are quick to pay attention to their looks and can be seen subconsciously touching their hair to ensure that they’re all in place to make the best impression on their handsome and young teacher.

Once the feelings have settled, they move away from each other and breathe a sigh of relief with their hands over their hearts, slouching in happiness. However, that doesn’t last long because the girls cannot stop admiring the man they just saw and soon discuss “his eyes” with such broad smiles that you can tell this is definitely one of the happiest days of their lives. One of the girls comments, “He’s young too, he must be around 24,” and looks up to almost imagine the face that was just in front of her eyes.
