While staying over at her boyfriend's home, a young woman found that he had thoughtfully bought some skincare and makeup essentials for her.
In relationships, the smallest gesture can mean the world to one's partner. Whether it is cooking something delicious for your better half or taking them out for a coffee date, none of the efforts go unnoticed or unappreciated. Similarly, Niamh Gallagher—who goes by @nniamhgallagher on TikTok—shared a sweet video that might make every other boyfriend out there take some notes on how to pamper their loved ones. Gallagher's video has garnered over 6 million views so far and counting.
In the video, she films herself sitting in front of a mirror at her boyfriend's house as he is spotted working on his computer in the background. "My boyfriend told me he got a few things for me for when I stay over. Sobbing," the text overlay reads. She then proceeded to pull out a well-stocked drawer with some essentials that women often use. She shows the viewers all the contents in the drawer one by one. The first thing she holds up is a menstrual pad, then a bottle of Garnier micellar water, which helps remove makeup and then she pulls out a tube of Cera Ve hand cream.
There are other contents like a hairspray can, a deodorant and a lip balm. Her boyfriend also made sure to include a white scrunchie in the mix, which Galalghar promptly uses to tie up her hair in a messy bun. Gallagher also talked with Newsweek, discussing further about the thoughtful gesture her boyfriend made for her while she stayed over at his place. Gallagher revealed she had been with her 21-year-old partner, Kieran, for almost 3 years. As a 19-year-old college student, she often forgets some essential items that she needs to use. So Kieran took it upon himself to reach out to Gallagher's sister and find out all the things she uses.
"It made me feel very special," Gallagher, who hails from County Donegal, Ireland, told the outlet. "I have always had difficulty feeling like a second option with people in the past, but Kieran's constant reassurance and gestures like this one show his love is as pure as gold." The majority of the TikTok users were floored by this sweet gesture Gallagher's boyfriend decided to show her and left her tons of wholesome comments. @liza.a1103 joked, "My boyfriend would be like, 'Why didn't you just tell me? I would have done that if you just told me.'" @butterflie315 remarked, "Girl, he is the man of your life, but just imagine if he tells this to all of his girlfriends when they come and stay. I hope I'm wrong with that."
One person even decided to be a little judgemental by commenting that her boyfriend was not paying attention to her and was just playing games on his computer. Gallagher fired back and wrote that "her boyfriend was working on his computer and one shouldn't judge a book by its cover." @xo_laylajade_xo wrote, "This is adorable, but I would never let my boyfriend do this. I did it myself. He can top up what I have, now he knows, but I'd never let him do it himself. I'd end up with pads to take my makeup off." @anastacia_1516 shared, "I had to buy the stuff, but he cleaned out a drawer for me and then cleared space for my clothes in his closet."
In a similar story, a girlfriend decided to surprise her boyfriend most endearingly after he sat through a tough exam session. An X user, @elena_jc7, shared a brief video of her standing outside the examination hall of her boyfriend with a bouquet in her hands. She patiently waits as each student exits the room and when her boyfriend finally appears, she greets him with a warm smile and gives him the flowers along with a tight hug. The boyfriend gets visibly emotional as he melts into the embrace, as some people cheer and clap for them from behind the camera.
Estoy enamorada de este vídeo (y de él también)💐💗 pic.twitter.com/LJ6Iv7d939
