Girlfriend records boyfriend secretly practicing before dreamy proposal in a wholesome video

A glimpse of a man's pre-proposal practice is winning hearts on the internet. Angela Rosa–who goes by @angellaarosa16 on TikTok–captured the video secretly as her boyfriend sat down on his knee in front of the mirror to prepare for their big moment. Rosa and her boyfriend Jake Goldstein were in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, when he popped the big question.

The proposal was supposed to be a surprise, but the woman had a faint idea as she walked in on her boyfriend holding a fake jewelry box and going down on his knee in front of the mirror. If one looks long enough, it might seem like Goldstein was just exercising. "Is my boyfriend about to propose or is he just lunging?" the girlfriend wrote in the text overlay. "I was so ecstatic and over the moon. I wanted to run out there but felt like I didn't want to ruin the surprise," Rosa told Newsweek. The video ended up receiving over 2 million views on TikTok. She captioned the video, "I am sweating!"

Rosa's guess was right. Her boyfriend proposed to her the same night. She showed off her beautiful diamond ring and photos of the celebration once Goldstein proposed under a gigantic and glowing "Marry Me" sign. "I wanted to share this special moment because I found it so endearing and sweet. I wanted to have that for memories and to look back at. I feel like the reaction of people was super-sweet and supportive and made the whole thing feel fun and exciting," she expressed. She also posted another video of the special day featuring the proposal and wrote, "POV: He makes you feel like a princess in a fairytale." The 27-year-old remarked that she had been waiting for this day for years.

People commented on the video to congratulate the couple and express their thoughts about the cute moment. @avabh99 wrote, "The way I would have had to fight my entire self not to run out and tell him how cute he was." @namingthingsistough commented, "This is such a wholesome video to capture, oh my god.
