Teachers play a significant role in imparting knowledge, especially during a child’s development stage. The former is not restricted to that of the subject alone but also to vivid aspects of life. It is only right to thank and appreciate them for the thoughtfulness and hard work they put into helping kids learn. u/ClashRoyayshKJ shared a post that he received from a former student who thanked him for his teaching. While anyone would expect the mail to be one of gratitude for helping him learn various topics and subjects, it was for a more adorable reason. The teacher taught math in the Midwest, per Newsweek.

The teacher shared the image of the email on Reddit. It read, “I just wanted to thank you for teaching me geometry last year. I play Clash Royale and what I learned in your class helped me beat a top 10k player. All my clanmates wish they had you to teach them the geometry ways.” The teacher revealed that he would use strategies from the game during his class explanations to make them creative. While explaining further he said, “I think my geometry class may help with Clash Royale. One day, I discussed the game briefly with my class after a few students discovered I played it too.”

The game uses the concept of geometry for a card called “Magic Archer.” The teacher took the benefit of the idea to help his students with the subject. “I showed them some tips and had them calculate angles, side lengths and area of the triangles formed by the arena tiles and the Magic Archer’s arrow,” he said. The teacher was delighted to receive the student’s email and it boosted his spirits to know that his creativity and skill became a useful and impressive tool for his students to keep.

“I thought it was funny and sweet of my former student to send me the email. He was a great student to have and I was happy to hear that my mini-lesson was as useful in the game as it was in class,” he remarked. The teacher shared the email on the u/ClashRoyale forum, where several fellow players applauded him and commended the idea. While many instantly began discussing the game and the intelligence of using the strategies taught in class, others were overwhelmed by the student’s gesture. u/Sansbaconhair wrote, “He will send you another when he beats a top 1k player.” u/GoofyGoober79 exclaimed, “Using actual geometry to play clash is crazy!”

Many others insisted that the teacher share his tactics with his fellow players so they could indulge in the game with a clever move. u/FaithlessnessOld2716 remarked “Well will you look at that, the public school system isn’t failing everyone!” u/A-BookofTime said, “I also wish to learn how to do this… Geometry. You must teach me. I beg you.” u/inigo13th added, “I never knew the Pythagorean theorem would help me get that 3 star.” u/CololerYT remarked, “He finally can use a² + b² = c² to count the diagonal range of Golden Knight's dash. What a beautiful thing to do.”
