The entire work team was trying very hard to keep a serious face on camera.

During an online work meeting, Vartika Bisht from India, a Gen Z employee, pulled a hilarious prank on her CEO. She turned up with a face mask on Google Meet — but to her surprise, her nonchalant boss's reaction stole the spotlight.
Instead of being angry, the CEO seemed more interested in her skin care routine. In fact, his unflustered and cool-headed response received an overwhelming applause online. The company, RemoteStar Ltd. (@remotestar_io on Instagram), shared the lighthearted moment on March 13.
When Bisht switched on her camera, everyone — including the CEO — was shocked to see her wearing a face mask while casually sipping water from a tumbler. Unapologetically, Bisht went ahead and gave a work update to the team, while others tried hard to suppress their laughter.
As she finished, the CEO, Naresh Harwani, inquired what face mask she was using. To this, the Gen Z employee replied, "Neem... you should also use." When the company shared the video, most netizens thought it was scripted, so they shared another video, elaborating on Harwani, the CEO's response.
"Now I know why cameras are off. So, if anyone's camera is off, then I know what they are doing," he added.
The playful moment became even funnier when another team member, Saurabh Jain, said no one can ever make an excuse for not switching on the camera, especially after what Bisht did. "Vartika has set an example," he confessed.
Harwani was so surprised by the Gen Z employee that he seemed like he was about to ask her a question on work, but stopped midway, watching her turn up casually.
A healthy work environment is built only when the boss is approachable, friendly, and knows how to respect their workers. But unfortunately, unlike Bisht, not every company has a nonchalant boss who loves a carefree moment now and then.
In fact, as per the Workplace Bullying Institute, 48 million Americans, or approximately 30% of the workforce, have experienced bullying at the office. And what's more surprising is that 65% of workplace bullies are the bosses.

Now, having an unsupportive boss or supervisor often affects our productivity at work. Statistically, an SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) survey found that 84% of American workers say poorly trained managers cause unnecessary work and stress.
While 57% of workers said managers can benefit from proper training, 50% feel their performance would improve if their direct boss acquired extra training in people management.

Meanwhile, reacting to the hilarious prank, @fashionably_foodie__ commented, "The composure of the CEO shows that he clearly knows how to build a team and keep them happy. He has set an example for sure." @zubaidakhxn wrote, "Proof that leadership and cool vibes can exist together." Similarly, @ashuka63 shared, "It is one of the best videos I have seen in such a long time. Hats off to the CEO." @thisissuvv wished, "This CEO is so cool. I wish everyone were like this; then the workplaces would be a little more interesting."
