Celebrating birthdays as a child was always exciting. The main appeal of a birthday, other than the cake, of course, has to be all the wrapped presents and the mystery of the toys inside them. However, not many kids would be willing to give away toys on their birthday instead of receiving them. But Hunter from Kenosha, Wisconsin, is a generous kid. For his birthday, he donated hundreds of new stuffed toys to kids in need. It is becoming somewhat of a tradition since the eight-year-old gave away all those toys, for the second year in a row.

Hunter, who has only been identified by his first name, donated all the presents he had received for his birthday to the Kenosha Police Department for children in bad or scary situations. Last year, he donated 111 stuffed toys. This year he gave away nearly three times as much and donated 308 stuffed toys, reported CBS 58. "It is just something he came up with last year on his own a week before his birthday and I just ran with it," Hunter's mom explained. "He loves to give back and helping others and he loves the police department and wants to be a police officer when he is older."

The toys will come in handy when the police have to handle situations where they have to help kids in distress or having a hard time. The Kenosha Police Department shared Hunter's generosity on their Facebook page and was met with warm appreciation and lots of birthday wishes. Gina Albert commented, Hunter is a bright star in a world where the light can be dim. What a beautiful gesture of selflessness and caring for others. I don’t know what I’ll do just yet, but after reading this I want to pay it forward. Thank you, Hunter. To make this generous donation to the police, Hunter's family even organized a birthday parade.

An event titled "Hunter's Birthday Stuffed Animal Birthday Parade" was organized. The event description read: This year for Hunter's Birthday he wants to collect new stuffed animals to donate to the Kenosha Police Department for children in need again. So we are doing a drive-by parade to collect donations. He is hoping to collect more than last year. Please help him reach his goal. If you can not make it and still want to donate I can arrange that also. Last year, the police introduced the little boy who had just turned seven and thanked him for his generosity.

In the post, they wrote: Everyone meet Hunter. He decided for his 7th birthday, instead of presents, he wanted stuffed animals to give to less fortunate kids. He collected new stuffed animals and delivered over 100 of them to the police department yesterday!! We will be using these to help children who might be going through a tragic situation or having a tough time. They also attached an adorable picture of the sweet kid surrounded by the toys he had given away. Facebook user, Stephanie Oster commented: Very awesome! My little guy has received stuffed animals in an ambulance and at a hospital that were donated by others. It definitely helps bring comfort in times of distress. Thank you Hunter and happy birthday!

Another person wrote: Happy Birthday Hunter! What you are doing is going to make so many, many children happy in a scary time in their life. God Bless you, sweetheart! Maybe you should run for President of the United States when you are older!!!
