Dealing with anxiety can be challenging as it differs from person to person. However, sometimes, we forget the power of small changes in a lifestyle that can make a big difference. A woman named Kylie Ohlson—who goes by @kylieann.n on TikTok—shares the one small lifestyle change that helped her manage anxiety better. In a video, she talked about quitting caffeine for a month. She expressed that she wanted to see how that would impact her anxiety and acne problems. She claimed that she could see significant changes in both of these aspects.

She also added that her digestion, stomach issues and mood were much better since quitting caffeine. "My boyfriend banned me today from ever drinking coffee again," she pointed out. Her boyfriend felt that she was much happier, not complaining about her skin, in a better mood and not anxious. The creator shared that she could agree, as she didn't have an afternoon crash either. Ohlson felt it had helped balance her hormones, although she didn't run any medical tests. Instead of coffee, the GenZ woman made a mocktail, which helped her even more in her wellness journey. She captioned the post, "No more caffeine for me. Try to cut it and let me know how you feel after a few weeks."

"Since quitting caffeine, I wake up with more energy. I don't feel the need to drink a coffee first thing in the morning. I feel more focused and at ease throughout the day," Ohlson told Newsweek. She shared that she used to have more than two cups of caffeine a day before this. Therefore, the change has brought about a significant shift in her lifestyle. "I wanted to feel and look my healthiest. So I decided to see how I would feel without caffeine," she added. However, she also knows that moderation is the key. So, she would have an occasional latte as a treat. "I still love coffee, so I opt for decaf when I am craving one. However, I have treated myself to two lattes since March," she added.

People in the comments shared their views about it. @lillianagraciee commented, "Literally same. It took getting mono to make me give up caffeine, but I'm so much better without it." @karmendavidson wrote, "How do you stay awake and have energy throughout the day? I want to quit so bad because my anxiety has gotten horrible since being reliant on caffeine." @ayymo_ shared, "I stopped drinking caffeine on an empty stomach (I knew it was bad for me) and my anxiety lessened so much."

@breezyannuh revealed, "I have never had acne, but I've been drinking a lot of caffeine recently and breaking out bad. I decided to quit a week ago and am already noticing a difference. Hopefully, it continues to improve!" @janineeainsley expressed, "I gave up caffeine and alcohol in the new year and agreed 100%! My sleep habits and anxiety levels are the best they've been in years." @randaclara stated, "I haven't had any in 5 months! It has helped my anxiety too big time! (even though I got on meds because of school) It's crazy that it has helped. When I do crave coffee, I just get decaf."
