This spoof edit blew up, reaching a much larger audience than the professional advert that the realtor actually expected.

When it comes to promoting a product or service, businesses now have to think out of the box to grab the attention of the current generation of youth. Social media, too, plays a huge part in marketing currently, and unlike traditional promotions, people are not so keen on serious ads. One of the best examples of this aspect is the recent blow-up of a realtor's promotional video edited by their Gen Z employee. Mike Hege, a North Carolina real estate agent, became the scapegoat of his Gen Z editor's shenanigans and the popular video was shared on Instagram by Pridemore Properties, where he works as a Team Leader.

It's natural for us all to take a short breath before beginning to speak. The Gen Z editor used this trait to take a jive at her realtor boss. Hege had recorded an entire sequence where he promoted a huge property in Monteith Place, Hunterville. He sent the raw video to his Gen Z employee, asking her to edit it. She, in turn, decided to pick just the short breaths and pauses he took during the promotion. She made an entire 15-second video with just inhales and exhales of Hege, along with his animated gestures while he prepared to speak. Though this wasn't what Hege expected, the video turned out substantially popular with over 58 million views.

Sharing this hilarious edit on X, Internet Hall of Fame (@InternetHOF) mentioned, "She (Gen Z editor) needs a raise." The X post received nearly 12 million in just 5 days and people found it hilariously epic. "Beautiful edit. Slap a product on there it’s ready. Especially for an inhaler or something," lauded @BWay124. "Elite editing skills! It’s effective because now I’m interested in what he was going to say starting off with all those pregnant sighs," quipped @atamanoyare. "The editor knows that the audience has a short retention span. So, she makes it as fast as possible," chimed in @AoefanRifqui. "Is he selling a breath of fresh air?" joked @SupaDupaQQ.

A few days after gaining popularity, the realtor shared the "Real Gen Z Edit" video and one must say that she can indeed be serious and professional. After a rib-tickling intro video of her boss's breaths, she ensured that his promotional efforts didn't go to waste. "I swear I can get a word in! Who else is abused by their Gen Zers?" Hege joked in the caption. Teresa, the Gen Z'er who edited the epic spoof video was a "rock star" to her boss because of her "unique pulse in creativity," as per BuzzFeed. "There’s a lot of canned content out there and we did not want to make it about our business niche," Hege told the media channel. What was funny in the past no longer worked out and so the realtor wanted to keep it original. "We like to provide value, be relatable, and have fun," he added.

So, Teresa's amusingly creative content became the new normal in Hege's promotions. Recently, the realtor shared another hilarious video reimagining how it would be if his Gen Z editor wrote the script for promotions. Typical Gen Z phrases like, "ate and left no crumbs," "it's serving," "no cap," "delulu," "high key," "rizz," and "skibidi" were used to describe the property's features. "Guys, please tell me what I’m saying, because I have no idea," said Hege in the caption. As much as it creates a fun vibe, the Gen Z employee's ingenious approach also reaches a wider audience.
