Future father-in-law's thoughtful and loving message to bride-to-be is winning everyone's hearts

Finding the love of your life is one thing but finding a loving family of future in-laws is extremely special. Mia Amabile, a bride-to-be, discovered she gained not only a life partner in her fiancé Alex but also a loving second family. She also obtained a second family who is always supporting them through all thicks and thins. On this special occasion of Alex getting down on one knee for his "perfectly imperfect proposal" to Amabile, she hopped on TikTok to share a special message, her future father-in-law Doug has left for the couple. Amabile—who goes by @miaamabile on TikTok—called the message from her future father-in-law her "Roman empire" since she will continue to think about it for a long time.

"Now that it is official, I wanted to take a moment to directly and personally tell you how overjoyed we all are to have you become an official member of our family, and us of yours!" the texts on the carousel post read which has now been viewed by more than 3.7 million people on TikTok. "We have loved you from the moment we met you, and could always see that you and Alex were absolutely meant to be together forever! The most important thing is that you guys clearly unconditionally love each other and take care of each other and that is by far the most important thing that ever matters! We are so greatly looking forward to all of the amazing times we will get to spend together."

Amabile told PEOPLE, "He always says the most beautiful things about his family and friends and will be the first person to tell you how much he loves and appreciates you. This text was no surprise for me because I'm so used to his ways but regardless I still cried many happy tears.” Amabile's connection with her fiancè and his family doesn't end with Doug and it extends to his sister and mom as well. As it turns out, she has completely "lucked out" with her future in-laws.

“They are such a beautiful family that welcomed me with open arms. I am so close to my sister-in-law, Sabrina, and am so fortunate to be able to have her as a sister and friend. My mother-in-law, Nina, and father-in-law, Doug, treat me as if I was one of their biological children, they are so beyond good to me and I am so thankful for them," Amabile continued, praising her new family. "Nina and Doug are the absolute best role models and I hope that Alex and I have a partnership like them." Even before getting engaged to Alex, Amabile knew that Doug would end up being a special person in their lives and hence, she asked him to officiate their wedding too.

"Fathers of the groom aren't always recognized at weddings," Amabile added. "So I'm really happy that he will have this opportunity at ours." The people in Amabile's video reacted emotionally to the beautiful words from Doug. @juliehowell210 wrote: "Petition for Doug to teach a seminar on how to be an in-law." @desouzanah gushed: "From every girl that wishes their father-in-law and mother-in-law felt this way about them." @sof.gtx added: "People can have their own opinions on this but this is for me why words of affirmation are the most powerful & moving love language."

Amabile also disclosed more details about the day on Instagram when she was proposed to by Alex on the beaches of St. Barths. "He knew once I saw the perfect setup I would look for the ring in his pocket and he was right. I did and I didn’t see a box so the thought of getting engaged didn’t cross my mind again. He said the most beautiful words and reached into the bag to get the ring and found an EMPTY RING BOX!" she wrote on the post alongside a bunch of beautiful pictures immortalizing the moment. Thankfully, Alex was able to retrieve the right ring box from their hotel room and the whole proposal scenario became a story worth telling to their future kids.
