No more free meals
The author was supposed to grab a meal at a Mexican restaurant and invited their friend to join them. At first, she declined, stating "her funds were low," but then decided to join anyway. Nevertheless, the dinner was going just fine until the bill arrived. Right on cue, their friend began to dig through her purse in a performative panic.
