Kindness is like planting a seed; you won't see the results immediately, but over time, the universe will surprise you with unexpected rewards. This profound truth was highlighted when Zachery Dereniowski, a YouTuber who goes by @mdmotivator on social media, shared a heartwarming video of a boy named Zech selling candies for charity. After a brief conversation with the young boy, it was revealed that Zech was abandoned by his parents and, ever since then, had been living with his foster parents.

"Would you want to have a family?" Dereniowski asked, to which Zech looked to the other side, perhaps trying to control his emotions, and responded with a simple 'yes.' Further, when he was asked about his parents, Zech politely refused to talk about it, hinting at a possibly traumatic past that he never wanted to remember again. Overwhelmed by the little boy's compassion and resilience, Dareniowski offered him $1000 for the candies and told him he could keep a portion for himself. To this, Zech respectfully declined, insisting that all the money go to their school. In those initial moments of interaction, Zech had already shared how he wanted to sell the maximum candies so he could win a Pistons Jersey — after all, he was just a kid with dreams.

Dereniowski, unfortunately, didn't have a Pistons jersey, but instead, he gifted a Detroit Pistons shirt to Zech, making his heart flutter. But wait, that wasn't the only surprise! When the boy opened the shirt, he found a letter informing him that he was invited to a Detroit Pistons game. At this point, Zech could no longer control his emotions as he broke down into uncontrollable tears. The video ended with heartfelt glimpses of the boy relishing every moment at the NBA game and meeting his sports icons. Notably, just like Zech, UNICEF claims that for every 100,000 children from around the world, 102 of them have either lost their parents or have been abandoned to live in group homes and orphanges.

Upon seeing Zech's heartbreaking smile, @soxfan1628 commented, "I wish I were a millionaire to adopt kids like him. If I weren’t so old, I’d be adopting such beautiful kids like him." Similarly, @mdmotivator wrote, "To whoever reads this, your life matters. You are so valued. No one can replace you. I’m thankful you were born. I love you so much." @aceventuraswife said, "This is why I want to be a developmental psychologist. My heart goes out to any children growing up surrounded by addiction, trauma, or unstable settings. Children are our future, and nobody is born evil." @always_be_joyful pointed out, "I pray that God will give him the best loving, caring father in life who will take very good care of him in his walk of life. I claim this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen."

@susanmorrisandlittlej said, "Imagine your one wish in life is to have a good family. This broke me in half. How can we get this kid what he needs? All of it. All the things. The shoes, the clothes, the home, the college tuition… How can we make sure this boy gets everything he deserves?" @djpete215 confessed, "This one took me out. When his parents were mentioned, you could see the pain in his eyes. Poor baby… I hope you can find a great family that would love you and support you throughout your life. Don’t worry, you are now loved from all over."
