'Whimsy loves to be serenaded.'

If you’ve ever had a dog, you know that once they’re comfortable, they have their own preferences at home. Be it a spot in the house, a particular food item, or perhaps even music. A woman named Isabel Klee (@simonsits) revealed that her foster dog, Whimsy, loves it when she and her fiancé sing to her. She displays several behaviors that assure her pet parents that she likes what they’re singing and that they should continue. However, when it comes to one particular band, she immediately shuts off. No matter which song it might be, if it has that particular set of artists, she just knows and refuses to even listen.

Klee shared a video from the time she brought a scrawny, scared, and confused Whimsy into her car and then her home. From then on, the duo were determined to love her like family, along with their other dog, Simon. Klee has previously shared a glimpse of the canine enjoying the humming and singing from her pet parents. They were adorably framing every song with her name, and every time one of them sang, she immediately cuddled up to them. “Whimsy loves to be serenaded,” the woman wrote in the caption, “But not if it’s Creed."
As Klee’s partner sang the band’s “With Arms Wide Open,” Whimsy quickly hurried over to the other end of the couch to get safe in Klee’s arms. The rock band originated in the 90s and has been a legacy ever since. Despite decades passing, fans still thirst for the timeless music the group has given them, per The Wichita Eagle. Guitarist Mark Tremonti noted that the band is popular because both the older and younger generations are equally intrigued. “I think people want to go back and relive some of their younger years,” the guitarist mentioned, while adding that many of the recent concert tickets were sold to those between the ages of 25 and 30.
“Those are (mainly) people that wouldn’t have quite been old enough to experience a Creed concert,” he noted. There is one that is not quite the fan, though — Whimsy. Can Do Canines revealed that dogs have musical preferences. Classical music is proven to calm them down, but even reggae and other beats are often liked by many canines. Researchers Leeds and Wagner noted in their book “Through a Dog's Ear: Using Sound to Improve the Health and Behavior of Your Canine Companion,” that “Sound is so important to dogs that their ears move constantly, like a radar dish, tuning in to sounds that we can't even perceive.”
In the recent clip, the couple decided to test whether it was just the one song or whether their canine was actually dicey about the band. Her partner began by singing a couple of other songs from different artists. Each time, the foster ran towards him and jumped up affectionately. As soon as he started singing a Creed song, the canine refused to jump to him, stopped wagging her tail and ran to Klee, trying to cling to her. “She’s like, ‘Mom, make it stop,’” the woman remarked, unable to control her laughter. People pointed out different theories, and they were all noteworthy. @cogs_dogs said, “Maybe it’s because he didn’t include her name in the Creed song.” @lee_lee2017 noted, “As a musician, I can tell you it’s because he’s using a very different, much more intense tone.” @puppyparkerposey added, “She has taste.”
