Children accomplishing something big is a significant moment in the lives of most parents. It might as well feel like a personal victory for many people. A lot of them can't even control their joy when something like that happens. Similarly, a mom and a former nurse couldn't contain her joy when she learned that her son had passed the nursing license exam. The man, Abel Mezemer, who goes by @quoteabel on Instagram, took to the platform to share his mom's reaction and it is winning hearts on the internet.

In the video, the man, his mom and his niece are seen sitting in front of a laptop to find out his results. The moment the result popped up on the screen, the man said, "Oh, see, what is it saying?" The niece read out that it said Mezemer had passed the exam. At that very moment, the mom screamed, "Pass!" with excitement. She banged the table and flailed her hands as if she couldn't believe what had just happened while the niece gave her uncle a big hug. Eventually, the mom hugged him too and the entire family was in tears after learning the news. The woman even did a little happy dance and the son simply couldn't stop smiling as the video ended.

Mezemer captioned the video, "I can’t believe this journey is finally over... onto the next chapter: Abel Mezemer BSN, RN." The man told Good Morning America, "I strategically made it so that I would take the exam, and then two days later, I'd find out with my mom because my mom was a nurse for 25 years, so this means just as much to me as it does to her, if not even more." The 36-year-old went back to school in 2023 and graduated through an accelerated program in August this year, as per the outlet. "It is the hardest and the loneliest thing that I've done in my life and it's a process that took 27 months. Seeing that pass just validated all of the work that I put into it, all of the long nights, the sleepless nights," he added.

The man didn't think that he would pass the exam on his first try. "I remember 25 years plus when I took my NCLEX exam, I failed the first time. I got it the second time when I took it, so I know how stressful it is," Mengistu, the mom shared. The 66-year-old had migrated from Ethiopia to America and took the exam over 20 years ago. As she had taken the exam herself, she had been worried for her son even though she also knew that he would do good. "Everything that I have accomplished or will accomplish is because of my mom and the example that she set for me while I was growing up," the son admitted.

People took to the comments section of the video to appreciate the man's accomplishment. @benbrunotraining wrote, "Let’s go! Congrats man. Proud of you, and I hope you feel proud of yourself for all your hard work. We know how much time you put in behind the scenes to make this happen." @freedom_inif commented, "Oh sweet Jesus! I don’t know you, but I’m rejoicing with your precious mom! May you keep making your Mama proud and more blessings to you and your family!" @myjoy73 remarked, "Congratulations and welcome to Nursing. I know that feeling and that cry was deep. You earned it!"
