Most of us have been in situations where we tried to save the last slice of pizza or the last piece of a cake in the refrigerator, only for it to be eaten by someone else in the house. As long as your refrigerator is accessible to your friends and family, there is no guarantee that your precious piece of snack won't disappear all of a sudden. u/NotAllDawgsGoToHeven took to Reddit and shared a note from his fiancée on a crumpled piece of paper that left people rolling with laughter. The fiancée left a wholesome apology note after she ate something her partner would have loved to have for himself.

"A note my fiancé left me. She ate my last lemon Italian ice," the fiancé mentioned on top of the picture he shared. "I am so sorry, baby. I ate the last one. It was so tempting and just know that it was so good. That s*it was crack. I love you. don't be mad. I will cook you dinner. Cut the chicken for me before I get home at 8 p.m. Dog needs to poop," the funny handwritten note read. She also mentioned another interesting fact to defend herself for eating the last lemon Italian ice. The fiancée wrote in the corner of the note that she was on her period and asked her partner to be nice to her. The last thing she wrote was how she devoured the dessert because of her "cravings" that commonly happen during periods.

Half of the comment section was questioning what kind of frozen dessert the fiancée savored and the other half laughed along as they read through the funny note. One of the commentators revealed that the dessert is not just a piece of lemon-flavored ice popsicle but is actually called Sorbetto di Limone or Lemon Sorbet. It is considered one of the classic Italian frozen desserts along with gelato. u/Smooth-Alarm-466 added, "An uncanny resemblance to 'This Is Just to Say' poetry by William Carlos Williams. I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox and which you were probably saving for breakfast. Forgive me they were delicious so sweet and so cold."

u/your_umma commented, "I misread this as 'my fiancée left me and ate my last lemon Italian ice' and all I was thinking as I was reading was how savage she was, rubbing it in his face like that." u/yojoewaddayaknow mentioned, "Those Italian ices are so good. I was in the hospital for like 12 days in 2020 and those were the best parts of my days there." u/Ok-Proof-8317 added, "I am Italian and I have no idea what a lemon Italian ice is. Edit: Oh, it's sorbetto di limone! Mystery solved." u/Nice_Exercise5552 joked, "This poem should be read aloud by a bridesmaid or someone at their wedding!" u/ExpendableBear chimed in, "This is what emotional intelligence looks like. Huge green flag on the communication!"
