Her fiancé swore ‘there was no one else’ after abruptly ending their 4-year relationship on Facetime — until her stepdad found a Facebook post

Ending a four-year relationship on a phone call can be considered a low move, but advertising a new relationship right after is worse. Lauren Zenger (@lifewithlaurrren) took to TikTok on June 4, 2025, to share how her fiancé dumped her. In April 2025, they FaceTimed while he was out of town for work. She could tell something was off and kept asking if he was okay. He blamed it on work, but finally admitted he was unhappy and wanted to break up. She immediately thought there was another woman, but he assured her there wasn't. A week later, her stepdad found out the truth through a Facebook update. The video received 2 million views, 170,900 likes, and 4,876 comments.

There's no one else

When Zenger's fiancé told her he wanted to break up, she was genuinely confused. The very same morning, he sent her a "good morning, I love you" text, and even acknowledged their 4-year, 3-month anniversary. She noted that he was not sad or remorseful, while she was crying hysterically. She assumed he had another woman, but he denied it. A day after the breakup, she woke up around 4 a.m. to a series of texts from her best friend. Apparently, he had changed his profile photo, hid his relationship status, and wiped all trace of Zenger off his socials.

Four days later, Zenger went live as usual for her business. When someone she knew asked her how she was doing, she spilled the tea. She got emotional while talking about Lola, her ex's dog, whom she took care of and raised. She had him blocked, but someone informed him about what she was doing on live. She received threatening messages, and he warned her to not talk about him publicly. Then proceeded to cut off her internet, which in turn sabotaged her business for almost two weeks.

Zenger told him to inform her before he came back, since she did not feel safe with him. But one day, he just showed up with the police. They informed her he wanted a "peaceful transition," and she found it hilarious, given the messages he had sent her. He even served her "Temu papers" that had "stains and scratch marks all over them." He tried to kick her out of the house, but she already planned to leave anyway.

Playing the victim card

After she left, he blocked her on Facebook, but forgot to block her family, her best friends, and friends. Right after she moved out, he took to Facebook and posted about his new relationship. Zenger said, "My stepdad was the one who found out that he was cheating on me with another girl, living a whole double life."

Zenger had been with her fiancé for four years and couldn't believe the other woman did not know about her. One of her friends reached out to ask, but the woman responded with, "I don't give a f*ck, and neither does he." Later on, after people started talking about him. Zenger's fiancé reached out and told them to stop talking about his woman, and even went so far as to call Zenger a "bully."

Living together, not married

Not everyone can move past infidelity and continue the relationship. But what's more surprising is that the cheater is the one to end the relationship most of the time. A 2022 YouGov survey found that 52% of Americans were broken up with by a partner who cheated on them. Zenger had no clue their relationship was strained until her fiancé said he was unhappy and wanted to break up.

But the truth was that he was already involved with another woman. The survey also found that 56% of men reported this experience, more than 49% of women. Additionally, the survey also revealed that couples who were "living together but not married" were more likely to have been cheated on by their partners, similar to Zenger's situation.

'Took your problem'

People in the comment section criticized Zenger's ex-fiancé for the way he broke up with her. @lex69301 wrote, "'I’ve been unhappy for a while.' Oof, that one specifically irks me because, okay?
