Father giving daughter driving lesson in the parking lot takes a hilarious turn after she speeds up

Parenting is many things, but as a viral video shows, it can also be dangerous to the guardian's life once in a while. It was evident by Will Harkness–who goes on TikTok by @willharkness5–experience while teaching his daughter how to drive. The video is a clear indication of what parents go through regularly with their children. Parents say one thing, and children do the exact opposite of it. In this case, Harkness is instructing his daughter on a particular thing and true to her duty as a daughter, Codi does the opposite, leading to a hilarious and dangerous turn of events. The video's humor was so relatable that it collected nearly 3 million views and 228.7K likes.

Harkness put a text overlay on the video, which read, "Codi's first driving lesson and her last." Giving driving lessons to kids is one of the biggest responsibilities that parents have on their shoulders. Many parents want to fulfill this duty by their own hands, but as Harkness' experience suggests, this might not be a good idea. The video featured the father-daughter pair partaking in a driving lesson in a parking lot. It was a fortunate coincidence that they chose the parking lot as their training site because if not, the incidents of the video would have left any other place in shambles. The father started the session by asking the daughter to turn the car slowly and gently. The next step was to turn up the gas "a wee bit." It was at this point that things began to go south.

Instead of turning up the gas, Codi put the pedal on the metal. As a result, the car began to accelerate at a high speed. "I said a wee bit of gas," the father screamed. "Codi, slow down. Codi, slow down. Slow! Slow!" The daughter, agitated by now, also began repeating, "I'm trying! I'm trying!" The car started to lose control, raising everyone's heartbeats before finally coming to a halt. As the message on the video suggested, this might have been the last lesson Cori and Harkness had together. Cori's driving pursuits definitely became someone else's responsibility after this stunt.
