Dad and son describing their first encounter with a trans person is the kind of love the world needs

Some people truly inspire us with their kindness and generosity and this dad was able to do this with a simple gesture. TikTok user @oddragon226 made a video about meeting someone special and the internet loved it. The video even received 3.1K likes on TikTok and 34.6K on Reddit. It has also received many words of appreciation from people on the internet. In the video, we see a man in a car who says, "We all know that there are people who are disgusted when they see a trans person and we all know people who don't care. But apparently, we are a third type of person."

In the car, he is accompanied by his son, the father adds," or at least I am, I can't speak for him." At this moment, his son sitting in the backseat says, "I am too." The father says further, "We kind of had our first experience with a trans woman. She walked in behind us." Then, this man opened the door for her as he would for "anybody." But, when he noticed it was a trans woman, he says in the video, "When I tell you, how happy it made me. I'm getting emotional now. To be able to see somebody out and open to the world in here small-town Texas. You have got to know how much bravery it takes." 

Then, he asks his son, "Right, Mikey?" His son responds, "Hell, yeah." The father also discussed what he wanted to say but did not as it would look "weird, smiling at a stranger. But, if you are a Trans woman and you came here to the landmark truckstop like Texas, just know that we are proud of you." His son also agrees to it. This video is being loved for all the right reasons. It teaches us to be supportive and kind to trans people. It also shows us how our kids learn to be kind to us as the kid in the video learned from his father. People appreciated this video in the comments section.
