Amid the perilous Hurricane Milton thrashing the homes of Florida, the welfare of voiceless beings becomes a critical concern. While people can try getting evacuated, pets like dogs, cats, birds and other animals in the farms have nowhere to go unless their owner plans ahead and transports them to a different state. It takes immense compassion and care to ensure the well-being of these animals and birds is safeguarded. That is what these farm owners who go by Our Simple Homestead (@oursimplehomestead) on TikTok are doing. Refusing to leave their animals behind, they are sharing their survival journey through this dire situation.

As the warnings and evacuations turned serious this Wednesday, the woman posted a heartbreaking video sharing why she and her partner decided to stay put. She said that all the farm animals were their "children" and they couldn't even think of leaving those poor souls behind and evacuating. Their farm, located between Tampa and Orlando, lies directly in the line of the storm's path, yet the couple wanted to stay home and survive through the calamity. Breaking down into tears, the woman explained that the animals could not be transported to any other state as they didn't have the health certificate.

The video garnered nearly 4 million views and people prayed for the farm owners and their animals. "Those animals are so lucky to be so loved. Whatever greater other is out there, you and those sweet animals deserve every ounce of celestial protection. I don't pray, but I will pray for you," said @dinosaurspine. "You need to tie air tags into the hair of any animals left outside so you can locate them after the storm. I'm crying and praying with you," suggested @terrihelt. "I am crying with you. I cannot imagine how you feel. I myself have livestock and cannot see a future without them. It breaks my heart with just the thought of it," added @michelledarlenee

With many concerned souls worrying about the farm animals and birds, the owner has been sharing updates. Drenched in rain, the woman was caring for her animals and with tears, she said there was no way to move them anywhere as the hurricane already started battering her farm. Knowing what was about to come and how it would impact her voiceless children disheartened her. So, eventually, the couple decided to become the Noah for their vulnerable furry and feathery friends. They brought a baby donkey named Cash and the baby chickens into their home and let them ride out the hurricane safely.

In her most recent update, the farm owner shared glimpses of how the devilish winds and rains are destroying her farm. Mind you, the hurricane hasn't even hit the area yet! "We went outside to check on the animals. This wind is extremely powerful and scary. We have a giant tree down that just missed crushing the chicken coop," the woman mentioned in the caption. But no matter what, these relentless animal lovers are determined to tackle the woes of Hurricane Milton by staying right beside their farm friends and checking on them time and again.
