The fan urged Liam Neeson to simply 'scare the f*** out of him' and the actor did just that, sending chills to even those watching virtually.

Fans normally don't ask for mortal threats from the celebrity they look up to. Unless, of course, the celebrity is Liam Neeson whose gravelly voiced threats tend to thrill people to bits. The credit for this goes to the spectacular franchise "Taken," which kickstarted a new phase of Liam Neeson's career. The successful action movie is known for a 40-second-long monologue, where Neeson's character, Bryan Mills, threatens a man who kidnapped his daughter, Kim (played by Maggie Grace), over the phone.

The monologue (shared on YouTube by Greatest Movie Clips) went down as one of the most iconic scenes in Hollywood history and Liam Neeson became synonymous with power-packed monologues. Back in 2014, a fan waited all morning to get an opportunity to ask Liam Neeson to simply "scare the f*** out of him" during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The man named Mathew asked Liam if he could threaten him, adding that it "would be an honor" for him to hear it. "Do not hold back, just go for it," the fan told Liam. "I usually do it for a lot of pesos," Liam joked before agreeing to fulfill the fan's wish. While the fake death threat that he delivered is not the same as the iconic monologue from "Taken," it's still a direct callback.

The "Schindler's List" actor asked Kimmel to dim the light to get him in the mood for some nasty death threats. He then went on to look the fan straight in the eye and said, "I want you to listen very carefully Mathew, before this night's over, I will kill you, but before I kill you, I will make you suffer pain so unimaginable, you will wiggle and pray for the gift of death. Eventually, I will give you the gift, but when you wake up in hell, you won't find peace, you know why Mathew because I will be there waiting for you again, Mathew. The whole act was of course staged, even though the fan is then seen standing rooted to the spot. However, fans in the comment section of the video that was uploaded on YouTube pointed out how cool the threat was. "It was obviously fake, but the actual threat was pretty cool," wrote @DarkTailsXZ. "I need his voice threatening me not to wake up late in the morning as my alarm ringtone. I'd never miss a thing," joked @drtash21

Others talked about how serious he was with his craft. "Liam Nesson is a great actor, he was quite convincing that the audience stopped laughing in the middle of his scene," commented @mohamedMohamed-sn8mn. "If I wanted to threaten a guy, I'd want to hire Liam Neeson to do the threatening. His voice is perfect for the job," added @galbert117. Recently, the video resurfaced on Reddit when it was uploaded by u/Temporary_Method_606 with the caption, "Threats from Liam Neeson hits differently!"

Many again jumped in to comment on the legendary fake threat. "Absolutely brilliant!! Scared the f*** out of me and my name is not Matthew," shared u/Choice_Magician350. "His deep voice helps a lot too. He needs to be VA or narrator for video games, please!" remarked u/iAjayIND. "My Da when I wouldn't eat my vegetables," shared u/born_in_cognito.
