'You just changed this woman’s life,' a user noted.
Instagram-famous nurse Jen Hamilton (@jen_hamilton) posted a video that shared an unforgettable live interaction between her and one of her fans. The fan who had been painting her during a livestream suddenly found the creator herself in the comments, and then on the screen. Jen Hamilton has a huge following online for various insights and takes on motherhood. The surprise turned a simple painting session into a moment filled with shock, joy, and connection. It all started when Hamilton got a text from her old college roommate that read, "This chick just came up on my FYP and she’s painting you." Curious, Hamilton clicked into the livestream to see for herself.

She saw that the woman was painting her and happily telling her viewers, "We’re painting Jen Hamilton. She’s one of my favorites and I love her chicken and, you know, we love all the things." The painter was focused on her work, unaware that Hamilton had just entered the chat, writing, "Is that... me?" Then her son leaned in, spotted a name, and urged her to look closer. "Mom, mom, mom, mom, look! It’s actually verified and stuff!" he said with growing excitement. She froze, covered her face with both hands, and screamed, "Oh my God!!! No. No. Are you serious? Please don’t joke with me. I will cry," she said, trembling at the thought that her idol was actually watching.

Moments later, another message from Hamilton appeared: "Can I join the live for a minute?" The painter nearly dropped her brush, screaming "Oh my gosh, NO!" into the camera as Jen’s face popped up on the feed. For a moment, she simply stared with tears in her eyes, still shaking in disbelief, while Hamilton smiled warmly back at her. At the end of the video, Hamilton introduced the fan on the stream, "Alright, this is Tiffany Higgins. I think she is still live now, so you know what to do." What began as an ordinary painting livestream had turned into an experience she would never forget, and experts say this kind of gesture is beneficial for our own good.
Elizabeth Dunn, a professor of psychology at the University of British Columbia, said in her TED Talk that "creating these kinds of meaningful connections with individuals provides an opportunity to deal with challenges that feel overwhelming. This is the kind of helping that human beings evolved to enjoy." The video touched viewers to the core, and many shared their thoughts in the comments. @mariahalexandraf said, "I think she was live buffering. I would have done the same. I love this and how you love all of us who are your friends." @rambling.rin added, "My favorite part was the repeated 'Mom, mom, mom, mom, mom.' We have kids aged 2 to 20, and I can verify it never changes."
@lmchek pointed out, "You just changed this woman’s life. She now has over 3 million likes and more than 20,000 subscribers. And her final painting of you is amazing." @its.jen.yall admitted, "She came onto my FYP too, before all this happened. I stayed for a second and scrolled by, but watching this now has got me tearing up." And @iam_mufasa209 wrote, "I watched this so many times I lost count. Her reaction was priceless, and her son getting so excited for her was just amazing."
